    Lawson cypress top out?

The cypress trees are going to be an ongoing cost, the bigger they get the bigger the cost, I would remove and replant something else, that said they can make a good wind/noise brake but will require regular topping every few years. the connie hedge has been cut to hard in the past, the brown patches won’t grow back, in my mind there are 3 options: 1:put up with it 2: remove 3: plant something interesting to cover the gaps
  2. My I pad does the same occasionally, refresh page and it’s away again, never taken any notice of it.
  3. I’m laughing but not laughing to loudly, the year is far from over yet which gives me plenty of time to catch up with you!
  4. No bother as long as the access is good and site willing to take what ever logs are on offer
  5. The one that winds me up is “I will pay you cash, you are fully insured arnt you?” my normal answer is “if you don’t want the job to exist because you think you will save a few quid then any insurance or any other paperwork is going to not exist on the same level, in fact I am just a figment of your imagination!”
  6. But he can’t load the chip back up with that grab 🤦‍♂️🤣
  7. Plastic weld with a Soldering iron, you need to find a similar plastic to use as a filler rod, cable ties seem to mix well with bumpers but can’t comment on fuel tanks.
  8. I would of expected them to work together and the pipe to split after valve 5 but it could be one internal lift ram and an assist or ram on the outside in which case they could be independent, with out having the tractor to hand it’s impossible to say. It could be money well spent to get your local hydraulic place to spend a hour or 2 with you, they will make sense of it in no time.
  9. No number 6 is to do with the accumulator pressure adjustment. It could well be number 5 the 3 way valve, if this is in the wrong position you won’t get any movement in the arms. if you take the pipe off valve 8 do the arms drop? (You will get oil everywhere) if they still don’t drop there is a shut off valve somewhere or the 3 way valve is in the wrong position. valve 9 and 6 (possibly a flow restrictor) are to set the pressure in the accumulator. This will allow the linkage to bounce slightly when loaded so it rides better (when the 3 way(?) valve number 5 is in the correct position)
  10. 🤦‍♂️ No words just no words 🤯
  11. 3 cut prune would be my favoured option
  12. it’s not about what truck is right, more what is least shit!
  13. There claw marks from a tree octopus.
  14. Don’t know the machine but is there a key way on the flywheel shaft that could of gone? If the clutch is engine end and the belts are turning I would guess the problem is at the flywheel end. Does the top pully turn with the belts?

    New saw help

Pick your favourite/best service local dealer and go with what they sell. Stihl, Husky and echo will give you similar value for money, I would say pick the dealer as much as the saw.
  18. I’ve fixed that for you 👆
  19. Im much the same but it got me 🥴
  20. +1 for gunk, be warned tho once you start you will be in amongst it with a paint brush for a hour or more before washing it off, it gets addictive 🤣
  21. Did you not have a ground crew?
  22. we had a ryobi hedge cutter years ago, brought it secondhand (@about 5-6 year old) to get a job done, it took as much abuse as a Stihl, we used it for a couple of years till it gave up
  23. Considering most tree teams work on the grounds of leave the phone in the truck/pocket, I reckon your on a hiding to nothing
  24. Good luck with the new venture Steve, looks smart 👍
