7ft fencing, would be cheaper to buy a compact tractor and topper

The following is assuming you want them to cut the grass and not earn anything- cause they won’t. Probably 4-6 lambs will do you, but be prepared to up or down number’s depending on your grass. keep them till they are 8-9 year old or die which ever happens first. If you go for a hardy breed like Hebridean you shouldn’t have to foot trim or give extra feed, they will be happy outside all year round. You will probably find you have to much grass in the summer and have to top it and not enough in winter. You will need three strands of electric fence or sheep net rather than barbed. Hebridean do just fine 99% of the time with no worming etc. Foxes arnt a problem unless you lamb when they are seriously hungry. Past that all of the above comments are good advice. remember a sheep has 2 ambitions in life: 1 Escape 2 Die they are at there happiest if they can achieve both ambitions at the same time

    New socks

Don’t worry I’m sure most of the colour and lettering will fall off the first time you wash them
  4. Unfortunately I think you have hit the nail squarely on the head.
  5. We had a problem with diesel bug at, used the fuel set at double dose in the tank and all machines to start (as recommended by agri dealer) and now add it to the tank at delivery time at normal dose. It solved the problem after having 3 machines down with blocked filters in a week before we used it.
  6. It’s a load of shit! Put some money in local parish mags and local paper, get your truck sign written for the same cost and it will do more for you.
  7. Buggered if I know what I’ve done but my reply is 👆
  8. Only crack the bung open enough to let a good flow of air/water out, if you undo it completely it will fire round the shed bouncing off anything breakable or with shiney paint to finally stop in the darkest corner into which you dare not venture with out your mummy holding your hand, if your lucky enough to have the vaguest clue where this elusive spot is (I found mine years later when moving workshop 🤦‍♂️)
  9. belt drive is quieter than direct drive. The bigger the tank the less it needs to refill but the longer it’s running for each time. In the old days you would of wanted enough air flow for air tools but now battery tools win so it’s not so much of a consideration but the higher the CFM the quicker it will fill and the more tools it will run. if your just wanting to blow a saw out and pump up a tyre a small 25l one from toolstation/screw fix etc will do you. don’t forget to drain the water from the tank regularly.
  10. Don’t drill a hole to let the water out, water stops bacteria and fungal spores getting in. I doubt the platform is helping the tree in any way. I would say find a good local arborist surveyor to give you a better answer.
  11. I seem to remember yell almost went bust a relatively short time ago so would say not
  12. Screams rip off to me, what happens when others pay the same fee, who is at the top then? I would speak to a good website seo guy, reckon they will give you better value for money . @Steve Bullman could be a good starting point.
  13. Does the nose sprocket in the bar turn freely?

    Strikes

They seem to be missing the point that if the government pay there demands there will be less money so standards will drop and prices rise again so they will still be skint with worse conditions. anyone in the private sector isn’t getting a 10% rise

    Jokes???

  16. Get a tipper truck or 4x4 and tipping trailer brought along with a wee chipper like the green mech cs100 or a joe beau etc then hire a bigger chipper when you need it. After a few months you will be spending as much on big chipper hire as it would cost you to finance a 6 inch machine then you buy one and wonder how you ever managed with out it.
  17. Alligator belt joiners are good.

    Jokes???

  19. Stihl, husky, Oregon or there own panther will be fine, they don’t tend to sell crap.
  20. How old is the bar and sprocket? They could well be worn. Some pictures of your problems may help you get better answers
  21. The details of the chain should be stamped into the bar near the mount (or the machines book if you still have it), if you can find the sizes and number of drive links you should be able to order chain from a decent supplier. Chainsawbars.co.uk would be good place to start once you have the above info.

    Jokes???

@Steve Bullman please can we have a throwing up yellow man thingey to react to filth like this please? im off to wash my eyes out but I’m worried this might be one of those things you just can’t unsee! 🤮
  23. There no bother, trick is not to over correct as you never catch up!
  24. A retired commercial vehicle that was modified when it was still working can still be mot exempt but not if it was modified after it finished work. As can modified cars providing the mods are period correct. im not 100% now we are out of the EU but check on the Nova system, if it’s not registered on it you could be liable for the import duty. We have a polish import pickup but I’m out of date as we registered it 9 plus years ago. Ours is modified but still mot exempt as it was done whilst still being worked.
  25. No one knows how old the oak is but the sap wood has rotted off leaving some amazing figuring so I will try but I’m not to stressed if it’s logs!
