Quickie are the market leaders by far, there are a huge step up from mx both in usability and easy of dropping off.

Let it do its thing, it’s young and flexible, the chance of wind damage is low. If yew prune it now you will be forever pruning it as it will shoot out all over the shop and get more spikey

Sequoia of some sort would be my first guess, also using the trees in the background as a reference. The colour isn’t far off yew but the bark isn’t right

The spikes look handy on some steep forestry sites tho 🤔 I’ve never been convinced saw boots are really worth the money to only really protect the bit covered by you trousers

I store sawdust in my pockets, they auto empty as soon as I get indoors, gives the Mrs something to do and something to moan about!

14mm line will cover most things to start. The biggest favour you will do your self if funds allow is to get a fixed bollard over a portawrap. So much better for almost every occasion apart from when it’s one branch to do quick but only due to quicker set up. If your mind it set on the portawrap go bigger for the dead eye, 16 - 18mm for both the portawrap and main block.

I’ve found Henchman have the best hole spacing, we had 1 of another make and sold it on to buy another Henchman one, can’t remember what make it was but it just wouldn’t adjust the same was always to little or to much.

Tripod with 3 adjustable legs every time. The 2 adjustable leg ones just arnt the same

We used to run a micro bull tracked mini loader, since we gave up domestic tree work 12 month ago it got sold but we still think we should of kept it. Any hydraulic help is good help

Could be a few things but my first call would be crap in the roller box stopping the top roller dropping and crushing the wood to get grip and/Or lack of grease to the sliders in the roller box
