  5. Whats the point in them? Costs a fortune, comparitively to plant several 1000's of trees in a tiny area. Seems like a fad and a waste of resources? Wonder if its a way to claim they are meeting tree planting targets?

  13. So far machine is good, apart from battery life is only about 20 mins with 2 5.0ah batteries fitted (even on slowest of the 3 speeds, which is still plenty fast enough for an oregon mulch blade as seems loads of torque) , but you can clear a surprisingly large area of dense brambles in 20 mins. (guessing over half a tennis court size area of shoulder height bramble) Its feels powerful as a quality 40cc strimmer and alot less vibrations so nicer to use. But would need say 8 batteries if wanted to do a 1.5hr strim which is abit crazy. And the price of the genuine makita batteries has gone up alot.

  17. I just use a non chainsaw spec gloves think its what most wear, kind of personal preference... Find that riggers are too clumsy fat fingers esp for chainsaw Im using mostly theese cheapo ones for chainsaw bought in bulk. Don't mind thin backs. https://www.safetygloves.co.uk/tornado-contour-avenger-light-work-gloves-con1av.html Then I have various nicer gloves I try and keep for jobs like strimming as doing to much "manual handling" (moving wet logs etc) ruins them. Then also some leather other ones just for blackthorn/ brambles...
