Bought a 2014 one a couple of months ago and so far it has been great. Have it on a 16" bar but have tried a 13" on it and that really flies. Plenty of power and feels well built. I was really tempted by a 550xp but chose the stihl because the local dealer is top notch. I have no regrets whatsoever.

Think this finally proves that this guy is a wind up merchant. Trying to wind up TCD and the others who offer great advice on some of the less mainstream brands. Can he not just go away or at least change his name to remove Scotland from it. Makes everyone think us Scots are a bunch of *****.

Most doors are around 2 meters high. There are approximately 11 door heights. So I say 22meters.

I have 261 and 461 and an old 064. Run my 461 on 18/25 bars. The 18" is a little scary at first but the saw is great.

Early 261's seem to be rubbish. New mtronic version:thumbup1: I have one and its great. Everyone seems to be raving about the 550/560. Guess it matter of taste and how good your dealers are.

Bought a 261 about a month ago. Cracking saw. I was dubious about the techno stuff but so far been great. Starts first pull every time and idles as it should. No regrets buying it.

Aye Jon.Bloody freezing getting some sleet at moment. Nice and cosy in front of stove with a wee dram for good measure.
