  1. Hi Eddie. They have briggs and Stratton 190cc engines.
  2. Can anyone help? We have a dozen Rover pro cut 50s and everyone of them has the same problem. Once they are hot they a complete b@#$&!d to start again. Have sent them back to the dealer on multiple occasions and they say there is bigger all wrong with them. Had all the carbs checked out and no problem. This is the second season with these piles of crap and it is getting beyond a joke. Any ideas?
  3. Wowwaaweewaa. Very impressive.
  4. Used the saw all weekend felling and logging up a load of windblow spruce and it behaved absolutely perfectly. Used around 7 tanks of fuel and it seemed to get better with everyone. Idle was spot on as was throttle response. Very happy with it. Will post regular updates.
  5. Second saw I've bought from them. Good to deal with and they seem to actually care which in this day and age is rare.
  6. Angus chainsaws.
  7. Rightly or wrongly I bought the 261 today. Only time will tell if I made the right decision. I am happy with my choice for a couple of reasons. It seems to fit me a little better than the 550 and more importantly the local stihl dealer is top notch. Thanks for everyone's views. I guess I will wait and see what happens.
  8. Thanks. Great thing about arbtalk is folk will share their experiences when asked. It is appreciated.
  9. All very well and good saying it was crap, but what exactly was wrong with it. So many people say it's crap it's crap but never give details. Thanks
  10. Having never used a 260 I can't compare to it. The issue with the clutch bearings is interesting because dealer claims that has been sorted. Nobody seems to backing this up. Morten made a good point about it getting a bad rap. Is this because it's not a 260 so people automatically dislike it or is there more substance to this? The 550 is a good saw so are folks just jumping on the husky bandwagon.
  11. Surely if this is such a faulty saw Stihl would have done a recall like they did with 661. I know one local contractor has 4 261's and swears by them but most folk on here hate them.
  12. Contemplating buying one of these but can't seem to find any feedback on them. There is plenty for the standard carb model which seems to be a marmite saw. Love it or hate it. Now before everyone starts with the get a 550 advice I know these are great as I have used one on number occasions. However husky dealers are very poor compared to my local Stihl one and that makes a big difference to my thinking. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. Run mine on 18"/25". It is a beast on 18" but it threatens to be a little engine heavy so I guess would be pretty unbalanced on 16". Try it and see at the end of the day it will be you using it.

Hi Jon I'm delighted with my saw run 18"/25" top top saw. Was telling Rune to take his back and talk to dealer
  16. Lashing down here in NE Scotland. Just started about half hour ago.

I bought one about a month ago and you got me worried. Went out to the shed for a look and my one looks perfect. Take it back to the dealer for peace of mind. Have a look at some of the saws they have on display and compare.
  18. I run my 461 on 18"/25". Top saw
  19. Just a little worried that it is too cheap. They are selling 5 different models and have 8000 feedback score. Looks legit but do you get Chinese copies of jonsered?
  20. Looking at buying my father a new saw and spotted a brand new jonsered cs2250 for £359 on ebay. Are these saws any good for firewood cutting and and is that a decent price? Should I buy?
  21. What sort of price are you looking for it. Father is looking for a decent s/h saw. Is it in decent nick?
  22. My trusty 365 and new 461. My old man has borrowed my old 064 so no pics of it just now.
  23. Only a small part in my reason for voting no. I live 20 mins from the oil capital of Europe Aberdeen yet in 50 years time it will be a ghost town once "OUR" oil runs out. Where will that leave an independent scotland.
  24. As a proud Scotsman living in Scotland I think I qualify to say Alex Salmond is a neep! Sooner the country votes no to this silly dream the better.
  25. Very nice:thumbup1:
