1. Well took everyone's advice and bought 18" sugihara pro bar from Rob D. Seems very high quality and looks good too. Couldn't get the light one in 18" so I guess that's why no naked ladies turned up with it.
2. Ordered a Sugi bar plus chain for my 461 plus sprocket rim for my 365. Arrived today with free gift. Rob D you are a star!!!!!
3. Call me stupid but I don't fancy holding my saw while it tries to pull a 1 ton log.
4. Sounds like the relief valve to me. When I built mine bought a 16gpm pump off ebay. Kept stalling the 10hp motor. Took off the pump and tried an old one off of a potato harvester. Worked a treat. Sent original back and was told that the relief valve was faulty. Received a new one works a treat. Check your spool valve is piped correctly
5. Can't get aspen up here
6. DID YOU SAY 45 STONE!! Crikey I'm only 16 stone and struggle to climb the stairs at bedtime:laugh1:

New 66

I agree.:thumbup1:
8. :laugh1:Had too replace ours as the seats had been worn out.
9. As a supervisor with a local authority I take great offence to you thinking that council workers would sit on a saw for a sleep. We supply brand new transits for this very purpose:laugh1:
10. Hi. I have a 365 special and bought a 461 last week. The husky is a great saw and I love it to bits but for cutting 2 foot wood the 461 on a 25" bar beats it easily. My 365 now runs a 15" bar for smaller stuff.
11. It takes around 5 seconds each way. If I fiddled around with it I could get a little quicker but doesn't leave much time to get the fingers out of the way.
12. This is my homemade splitter nicknamed the Jaffa Cake by the kids. I bought a 10hp Chinese engine and had a 36 ton ram off of an old loading shovel. It is on an old caravan axle. The 4way is removable.
13. You boys are making me green with envy. Wanted an 18" but Rob's only got 20's
14.

Hi Rob. Just bought a ms461 on a 25" bar. Looking for an 18" bar and chain. Stubby says sugihara. Is this possible.

Cheers Rod

15. Looks like I'll be talking to Rob D soon.
16. Hey Stubby That is a thing of beauty! I would spend all day polishing it. Would you buy another of them when needed or are there more value for money bars.
17. Thinking of getting an 18" so possibly a Sugi for that?
18. Other than looking cool:thumbup1:is there any benefit to them?
19. Won't need to put bigger than 25" on it. Thinking about getting an 18" for it also. I will be running the 365 on a 15" cos it's mad and have a 30" on the 064. This is my first proper new saw ( had an efco 147 but not counting that as a saw) so nervous that I made the right choice.

stihl ms461

Bit the bullet today and ordered a 461 25" bar for £780. This will join my husky 365 and stihl 064. Was a toss up between this and 576 husqvarna. Did I make the right choice and is that a good price considering I live in the middle of nowhere.
21. I'm having the same dilemma but between the 461 and 576. Had a go of both and loved them. Can get them for close to same money but local stihl dealer really good service compared to husky dealer who is not as good and further away.
22. More like old school dinners.
23. I bought a 147 about 5 years ago. Had it 3 months cutting firewood. Felt cheap and had loads of vibration. Hated it. Mate bought a 152 at same time. He felt the same. You can do better for the money.
24. Have been using these for a couple of years at the council. Work well but you need to use plenty on poplar as I have had to re treat some. Easy to use as well.
25. Doh!! I paid a quid too much for mine then. Ha ha
