  1. The brilliance of stihl
  2. There is a new one. 0-145. More expensive too. Probably just that they arent making the 135 anymore? There's a new design polesaw as well.
  3. Ford Formula F Oil is the same as the Castrol one but at much less cost BTW. Are rangers 5w/30? Ford 5w30 Formula F Engine Oil 5lts - Parts Shop - FordPartsUK
  4. Who has an issue with line breaking inside the head? If it snaps at the eyelets you need to let more like out. But if you use a jet fit head it won't snnap at the eyelets (if you let it get that far) as they're set back slightly into the head giving it a bit of a bend rather than a 90 degree angle.
  5. Ignore this... It was 2 A.M.
  6. It welds because it gets hot inside the head. Soaking the line should stop it.
  7. Depends what you're doing. If there's crap in there you wouldn't want to hit with a blade it's better, basically doesnt wear on medium brambles and below.
  8. For strimming against wire I just use 2.4mm in a 4 head because it breaks anyway and you get more length to a bumphead if it's smaller. Or 7mm oregon stuff if you want to smash the stuff apart.
  9. Doesn't blunt the chain unless you go down to the bone J so your saw'll be fine.
  10. They're good on fuel too.
  11. You on the lookout Bob?
  12. They said reduce it as much as possible.
  13. Great big 18 inch chipper then, forgot the GM and TW.
  14. You never did upload that video of the beast working. Or did I miss it?
  15. And its never as good as you remember it used to be?
  16. The echo 520 would also be worth a look

    Work

I had an offer for a large one at a Parish Council included what would be 2 man days just strimming around headstones. However they have their meetings with the public... So the lowest price always wins as there are people there wanting money for x y z so they'd never spend a few k more to have the village actually maintained properly and instead bounce between crappy contractors every two years.
  18. What bar does it have at the moment? If it's an 'echo' bar I think they're tsumura's. Our 8002 came with a tsumura bar at least.
  19. I think the roller mowers speed is the same as the slower gear on the 4 wheelers.
  20. I believe diesels produce less greenhouse gases then petrol (which is why the government tried to get everyone to buy one a few years ago) but are worse for local air quality.
  21. Yeah that's the new bodywork design stihl have. I suppose I should've said they've got the same 4 mix engines as the old ones.
  22. I was told at saltex they were the same as the old 130 and 110 just with the new bodywork on them.
  23. Using it as an alternative to a stump grinder.
  24. Are you cutting it 3 times a week with a cylinder mower at less than 10mm height?
  25. Unless it's covered in a hard frost it won't care much. Unless you keep it at bowling green length or something.
