Is it the newer ones? My older shape Combo (w reg) isn't great on fuel as the 1.7 is only a 45hp engine with no turbo so you spend a lot of the time revving it just so it doesn't come to an abrupt halt.
  2. Go to the watch live bit on iplayer and you can rewind up to 2 hours.
  3. You've got to be careful with adwords as sometimes the whole frontpage of the search will just be advertising companies like gumtree and rated people, and it's a hard job to get in front of a website with 100x of times more pages than you on the subject. So paying a guy to do your SEO will lead you to getting no further up the listing but out of pocket.

If the videos are choppy at all qualities then it's not your computers fault. It's possibly choppy because the setting is at a low frame rate.
  5. Yeah right click on their name on the bar to the right and open a query.
  6. A free ad, I update it once a day (they say you can't do this but they've never done anything about it, I presume it's if you have two adverts on top of each other or try to flood the page they stop it). I was planning on trying out being a featured advert for a fortnight come Spring just to see if it improves the results. But I doubt it's 7x as they claim as there aren't that many people advertising in my category. But you need to take into account how it divides up areas, at least for my local area if someone searched and I was only using my postcode only people from Bristol and Keynsham would see my advert, whereas I also work a lot in Bath and the surrounding Somerset areas, but if I didn't manually select my location as Bath (as a separate advert) people would only find my advert if they set a radius search (which I presume people don't as the only work I have in Bath is regular that I picked up from leafleting). I've also found that people on Gumtree don't seem to be getting multiple quotes and going for the cheapest, as I know I'm not the cheapest who advertises and every job I've gone to look at I've got. Well I did lose one but the woman thought that £10 for about a whole day was a fair price because it was only grass cutting and her 14 year old Grandson did it for £10.
  7. Most of my work comes from Gumtree, I do leaflet but I only started leafleting in October so got a bit of work out of it, I just hope that people saved the leaflet to call me in the Spring!
  8. Do you really need a pickup? If it's just for gardening hedges would a small van like a Vauxhall Combo or a Transit Connect be better?
  9. The tile stuff on windows 8 can be removed to make it look like Windows 7. You need to disable Windows Metro, but I can't quite remember how to do it (my brother did it on his laptop but I myself only have a laptop with vista on it)
  10. 21 in SP 4 wheeler preferably. Also with a mulch possibility as a few of the people I had last year said they'd like the grass mulched this year if possible (my old mower didn't have a mulching plug).
  11. Looking to get a new mower for the new season as my current mower is almost as old as I am and the grass collector is only 30l. Was looking at a Mountfield SP555 as it comes in within budget but was also the Which Mower last year or maybe the one before. It is a domestic mower rather than a pro one but I haven't seen a pro one within my budget. Does anyone have any suggestions for other mowers or experience with these higher speced Mountfields (from my understanding the cheaper Mountfields are Italian but the more expensive ones are Stiga?) Thanks in advance.
  12. Put it in the oven at 180 for 25 minutes. Make sure product is piping hot before serving.
  13. I've actually never had a single major problem with them, got two two year old KM90R's which I use most days and the only issue I had was with the throttle cables being a bit sticky occasionally. EDIT: Have had them both for about 10 months but they're both two years old.
  14. I never said he wasn't. However he said he wanted to do it in 1 or two cuts. But I have just seen that he also says there needs to be sufficient ground clearance for one or two cuts, so wouldn't do those jobs.
  15. Wonder what he'd do if it was heavily leaning towards the persons house.

    Overloaded

Probably came it closer to 3.5t once he pulled away and most of the chip fell off the back
  17. Freezing cold wind and rain. The worst part is I booked 2 days of Carp fishing tomorrow and Saturday and I doubt any fish will come out if it stays this cold!
  18. I dunno, my local recycling place sells bio mass (they have a bandit beast recycler so whatever comes out of that) at £25 a tonne and it flies out of there. The worse bit is they charge me £18 to get through with my vauxhall combo!
  19. Attacking everyone who disagrees with you isn't doing you any favours mate. It's great htat you turn up early but to be honest, if you're not doing anything when you get there early you may as well turn up 5/10 mins or so early instead so by the time you've loaded up it is actually time to go. Surely an extra 20 minutes in bed each day is preferable to standing around doing nothing?
  20. ... Cash for reduction.
  21. I use the example of the local Supermarket not accepting cash instead of the builders merchant. I doubt most of my customers even know what a builders merchant really is.
  22. have you considered a brush cutting deck for a skid steer (do they do them for mini skids as well?) CAT claim their 66 inch will get through 5 inch stuff regularly and up to 8 inch occasionally. Or so some forum I read a while ago said. As they're not open deck the debris won't go flying as far as with a mulcher. It's essentially just a much larger Field and Brush mower.
  23. What weight can the crane lift at full stretch?
  24. In your head work out how many hours you reckon it'll take if you were going slow then add an hour on plus a bit extra if you think they're the type who'll barter to death regardless of the price so you always have a bit in hand where you still do very well from the job and are still well above what you'd take. (say you had an hourly rate of £25 or whatever, which is how much you need to cover all costs plus a decent wage for yourself)
