  1. Just don’t get why you need a chipper of this size in tracks. Surely you can just push it about if it’s on wheels?
  2. Nice! But spotted these on an oak yesterday near savernake
  3. G A butler and sons in Newbury may be worth a call in the morning if you haven’t sorted one yet
  4. If you’re good you should be asking more than that! That’s what I charge and In my opinion I’m just an average climber, albeit with 10 years experience, maybe you are working for the wrong people. I know some firms who wouldn’t pay me that so I don’t climb for them. Others are happy to pay.
  5. I’ve seen that tree, you’re going to need a long ladder to get to the first branch!
  6. Just bought a second hand 372 on eBay hasn’t come yet but hoping it’s not a dog. There seem to be quite a few on there at the moment, guess people are replacing them with the new 572.
  7. Yea could have used a throw line and pulled a rope up with that but it was quicker to spike up 20 feet . The spruce was only dead one year it was solid. Could have climbed to the top, like mick said it depends how dead! I have climbed some bum twitchers before and weirdly I quite enjoy the extra unpredictability of dead trees
  8. Oak in a long forgotten avenue in a field outside savernake forest Massive sweet chestnut with a dead top
  9. Climbed 20 ft up this dead spruce today, put a line in them pulled it over with the transit[emoji12]x
  10. Got to love a happy ending!
  11. It’s not yew and definitely not apple I’ll go with box elder too!
  12. Think there’s 3 different sorts on this chestnut, it’s still standing but not for much longer!
  13. My girlfriend did her chainsaw course last week and had size 5 haix boots, she reckoned they were lovely and comfortable, not cheap tho

  17. I have no idea how much I’m going to save. I’m moving from a bungalow with underfloor heating which I hate as the house is too hot, never got the hang of programming the individual room thermostats, that is included in the rent along with electric water and and council tax to a cottage with a wood burner and Rayburn and storage heaters and a immersion hot water system. Not going to run the storage heaters at all and only the immersion if desperate all my heating and hot water will come from my own logs. Yea my rent and bills will be higher but so looking forward to having a burner and a Rayburn again
  18. Need someone to climb or ground this Thursday 28th June. Ring or text me on 07917725646
  19. Ah it doesn’t I had a dead 372 and already tried it
  20. No, it’s a different part no and looks the same as a 372. There is no husky equivalent to this saw, only a partner or Poulan pro, both American saws. Starting to think I might just have to give up and maybe sell it on☹️
  21. The oil pump drive has worn out on my Jonsered 2083. I love this saw, spud rebuilt it for me but for the want of a £10 plastic part which is no longer available new even in the US I can’t run it any more unless I have a squeezy bottle of oil and oil it manually. Does anyone have a scrap one of these or the 2077 they could pinch that part off or I’d be happy to buy the whole saw as spares? Maybe the other option would be to find a second hand part from the US, but I have no idea where to start!
  22. Thanks reg, I enjoyed that, greAt video
