  2. Entec anvils are a bugger to change. I did mine recently when I had to remove the feed roller on mine. Remove the hopper, remove the roller box. Try and undo bolts holding bottom anvil, round off bolts. Drilled head out on one bolt. Tried to drill out head on other. No drill I had would touch it. Ended up having to grind down through the anvil to take the head off the bolt. Side anvil not so bad. One bolt unscrewed. And the othe drilled out easy. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  5. These guards have been left on a little too long as well I think. Best advice in the last post. All you can do is remove them and give the trees a chance to sort themselves out Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  8. Found this on an apple tree today. Almost sure it is lichen but I may be wrong. It was quite dry and flakey like lichen but 3-4mm thick. Is there a fungus it may be? Thanks Will Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. Went to look at a job today and I'm not sure what tree this is. I think it is a cypress, but what sort? Tree on the left We will be re propping it but nothing else to start with as I think any pruning may spoil it Thanks Will Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  13. A few years ago we had an angry man turn up just when we had finished chipping . He had been spraying the bonnet of his vw caddy pickup in the driveway 4 doors or so up. I told him that it was his own fault an should have sprayed it indoors and to p155 off. He then ring my boss who paid him £50. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Tree id

This tree was in a customers garden today. I think it's an elm but not sure which one. They did want it out but when I said I hadn't seen many before and wasn't sure what it was they said oh, if it's rare we'd like to keep it!' Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Hi, need someone for Thursday and Friday next week just dragging and chipping. I'm based near hungerford in Berkshire but the job is near bordon in Hampshire so could pick you up on the way or meet on site. Thanks Will Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Probably a bit less than half of what I do. It's the only advertising I do. I subby climb most of the time because I enjoy it more and it's less stressful! It tells you how many people have viewed the post and I get roughly 1 enquiry per 1000 views. Doesn't sound much but it takes me about 20 mins to share on about 30 groups to get 3-4000 views. One of my mates does leaflet drops and doesn't get many more enquiries than that. But my advertising costs me nothing and takes no time at all. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Yes I have a Facebook page. I post pictures of work I have done. What I do to advertise it is. Make a post, Click on share at the bottom of the post, Click on copy link. Then just paste it into all the local buy and sell groups that you can. I am a member of about 30. I do all this with the Facebook pages and groups apps on my iPhone. Hope this makes sense. 25. Going back to the 501sx..... Every time I go to clean the air filter I take it off and find fine dust inside the air filter and inside the carb. I have taken it back to the dealer to look at and they have said it is due to me not cleaning it regularly enough and also running the chain with the depth gauges too high or a blunt chain. I admit I probably don't clean the air filter as often as I should and have at times had a blunt chain when cutting down stumps, but I treat all of my saws the same and have had no problems with this on any other saws. Any one had the same problem? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
