  1. I did look into this and in quite a lot of remote locations there is no mobile signal, worse still no emergency signal. There is only one gadget that works, if you contact Adam in the link put up by Hertswood he will explain. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/91076-lone-working-control-measures-6.html Bob

  6. Its all down to overall tyre diameter and profile not rim size Johny , you can get a 13" full profile tyre that has a bigger overall diameter than an 18"rim with a low profile tyre. Check out the tyre gumph, that should give the right info. Bob

  11. I have put this on here before, its a modified lawn mower blade grinder, the head swivels so it can do the concave grind on the TW blades as well as flat. You can do six sets of the smaller knives at a time, the grinder has adjustable stops so you can limit the sweep. Also within you budget Bob Swivels on the kingpost for the concave grinds Small crap vid
  12. I have never opened one up, ours is due a sort out because of the amount of mud the rope has taken through the winch. I will pull it apart and post my findings. Bob
  13. Well oiled beef hooked, that is the mother of all grinders and on my hit list. Never heard of variable speed angry grinders before, I have been using an air grinder turned down for the odd times I have not wanted a gazzillion rpm . That grinder specs well Makita UK
  14. Brilliant, glad it worked out ok for you. Bob
  15. Because we never relied on an internet awash with unconfirmed or unauthenticated drivel and the press back then were not trying to sensationalise every snippet of information in an attempt to boost sales. Bob
  16. Well done Mull, if you read a paper you are misinformed and if you dont you are uninformed. Far better to form your own opinions based on research and facts. Bob
  17. Buy the best you can afford unless its only for occasional use. Middle of the road or budget will disappoint. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/maintenance-help/101771-bosch-grinders.html Bob
