  1. When I saw the title I thought it may have been an organised cull, credit card was out ready to buy the tickets Bob
  2. A Kangoo van, great for carrying logs
  3. It will be on a golf course for a couple of weeks soon so I will buy a gadget to hold my Ipad and take a vid. We timed it on a long line of 18" birch stumps and they took less than 60 seconds a piece Bob
  4. Hydraulics are plugged into the road? Bob
  5. Have a big Rayco here but only goes out with an operator. Needs a mog or telehandler to shunt it about but never gets stuck. Bob Massive capacity under the deck and a very big sweep so you dont need to move to clear grindings for anything other than huge stumps,
  6. Will according to an email received there is a 99.99999999999% chance it was. It was pulled from the auction with immediate effect when I made contact with regard to looking at it. Bob
  7. Sure enough Ken was a legend, dont mention the C hook http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/stolen-equipment/74268-meooksgawn.html Bob
  8. Its all been carefully calculated Mr Works , with the skids in and an empty trailer there is virtually no nose weight. I have borrowed this and it tows really nicely, saying that I think all the triaxle trailers tow nicely. Bob
  9. As Joel says, a small hiab on a trailer. A mate of mine had this one below made up, he wonders how he ever managed without it. You cant beat a bit of mechanical assistance Bob He gets eight bags of logs on this
  10.

<p>Permanent position for someone capable and competent in all aspects of hard landscape, would consider a team. </p>

  12. More importantly Timon did you ever find out who stole that wheelbarrow? http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=217598&stc=1&d=1488615698
  13. I cant see this either Mick. At what point were they dissatisfied with the ongoing work and why not call a halt to it the second things were not as they planned ? Seems the beef is more financial than anything else. Bob
  14. I did wonder if it was a known or suspected theft of a dog. I am not saying its not a theft but them there Spaniels can be a bit of a nightmare. A friend had a pair go missing, they were nose down together across field and gone. He was devastated and spent weeks looking for them, they were eventually found thirty five miles apart. One was hung up in a hedgerow by its collar and found by a cyclist ,the other was wandering around some stables where no one saw fit to catch or report it. It was only through his persistence he got either of them back. My father lost his best gun dog, it uncharacteristically went off one morning and disappeared, he spent days looking for it and the dog was eventually found by another dog walker living in a hedge less than a mile from home. It had gone into meltdown and had to be coaxed out by my father, tough little dogs but a bit highly strung so dont be surprised if its not found alive and well many miles from home. Bob
  15. I would say no, these old winches are massively over engineered and pull far more than their designated rating. The old clunker of a boughton on my Nuffield can break a 1" steel rope which in theory it should never achieve. Err on the side of caution and go bigger. Bob
  16. Kin noisy teabreak today [ame] [/ame]
  17. Mick Dundee nailed this together for me ( yes its blue), it would tear them out no problem. There must be someone about with a monkey winch or similar , might pay to get on the phone. Bob [ame] [/ame]
  18. I dont know John, Eddie is more up to speed on this equipment. Bob
  19. I am warming to the idea Billy for all the same reasons, I was bunching/balling up bramble and gorse with it a while ago and thinking sod touching that Bob
  20. Not sure I would go much bigger than 190mm on a three tonner Billy. With the tops in thats a fair bit of tree/leverage when you come to lay it down. I have modified a grab for a three tonner which works in the same planes but without the shear ,I have been using it for pulling 8" willow off of step cuts on some very steep banks and rowing it out prior to mulching. Thats had its moments and I am not sure a three tonner is up to much more. Bob
  21. My youngest nipper is 20 stone Mick, I will tell him he needs to shed a few pounds Bob http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=217354&stc=1&d=1488055313
  22. Dont by a lotto ticket this week. What engine is it in those skid steers? Bob
  23. If the thing was revving its nuts off when it went over and eventually died its probably already ingested oil and damage is done. If it just stopped or was turned off you`r OK. Just clear the cylinders, check the air filter as well , check fluids and fire it up. Bob
  24. Is FMOC any use? at least it does not expire. Bob
  25. Who cares what it weighs? Just chain a skid plate on the thing and drag it up the bank, a twenty ton 360 will easily achieve that. Bob
