  1. Vac tester is the easy bit, making up all the port plates and finding suitable bungs is the hard bit. Another vote for the Mity Vac Bob
  2. The air shocks are quite simple, just connect the two pipes together and inflate. I bought a load of these as NOS and intend to try some on the cherry picker.
  3. Monroe used to do a load levelled shock absorber, basically pump the thing up with compressed air and it raised the car. Its the best of both worlds but you really need an onboard compressor and a dump valve . There are some in the shed, will take some snaps of them. Bob
  4. " Not a lot of people know that" Bob
  5. On the bay of thieves ABWOOD TG170 TOOL GRINDER TOOL LAP, TOOL GRINDING MACHINE, DUAL GRINDING SIDES | eBay With a few mods would make a decent chipper blade grinder. Just saying Bob
  6. Its not hard to finance this sort of thing but you will need a 30% deposit . Lloyds are good for this https://www.lloydsbank.com/business/industry-focus/agriculture.asp https://www.lloydsbank.com/business/retail-business/loans-and-finance.asp?#tab-row-5 Bob
  7. You are right to question this Goaty, I have overdone it on the Mitzy . When its empty the ride is harsh and the towbar is about 4" too high. Bob
  8. No, its was a loincloth and his groundy was called Cheetah . Bob

    My new dog.

Brilliant news Nikk, feisty little dogs those Yorkies House dog or travelling/work companion Mick ? Any excuse Mark Bob
  10. Only applies if you trim them out first Gary
  11. Brilliant , please keep this thread updated. It would be great to follow their progress. Bob
  12. It cant be the ram Mr Scale, its only a single action. Fluid goes in the same port as it exits, if it was duff all your fluid would be on the floor. Its either air in the system or body mods such as high sides or lockers have increased the weight which in turn will increase the speed of descent. If its the latter it can be controlled with a restrictor in the dump ports of the pump unit. Bob
  13. When I changed the back lights on my IW to led`s I noticed they had hand written the serial number in felt pen behind the units. I dont know if they still do this but its another concealed number thats worth checking if you are having doubts. Bob
  14. Parish councils do have their own patches to maintain, gives them something to do and makes them feel important. We do a bit for them and they have their own little budget for small works. Its not normally cut throat so worth pricing and may lead onto other things. Bob
  15. Forgot to add that you dont need to sharpen your pencil too much with Parish councils, they dont expect the same contractor rates the borough councils enjoy. Bob
  16. Been told to quote or asked to quote? Its not worth putting pen to paper if your quote is only in there to make up the numbers. Bob
  17. Birch http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=219531&stc=1&d=1493842405
  18. I would take the legs off your puller and wrap two pieces of chain around the box and bolt the ends together, slip you puller under the chain and push off of that. Worth a try. Bob
  19. Yes , he lives in it all year round. I just leave the tailgate up, he is obsessed with travelling about with me and stays in there on his own free will despite having a heated kennel. Bob
  20. Cant see it being an issue for the PTO clutch, I narrowly missed a six pot turbo fordson tractor winch and all of the PTO worked on that. I would imagine its just flywheel mods because the rest is the same. Bob
  21. No issues like that for me, I leave the truck wide open all day and have never lost anything. If you want to nick it the keys are under the dog, you will need to wearing cut proof onesies Bob
  22. Along the same lines, these cheap draper testers are good because the lead will reach the drivers seat . Handy for testing sockets if you are on your own. Bob
  23. I like the idea, take the lot with you and have all bases covered. Cant see it staying like that for long with my motley crew though. Bob
  24. Planning law works in a slightly different way, you are basically guilty until you prove your innocence. You are not actually guilty of anything in the councils eyes until infringements of planning law are brought to their attention ,you then have to prove you are doing nothing wrong. Nothing wrong would then constitute ten years of continuous use of a commercial activity or four years for a dwelling without any enforcements or stop notices being issued. Once proven a lawful use certificate will be issued but the emphasis is on the applicant to prove the case and not the councils to disprove it. With that in mind you can see the need to tow the line and not to piss off the locals. As R5log says get on with it and keep your head down, screen the site from prying eyes and keep the place locked up at all times. Bob
  25. Have you been in Sally`s front porch Bill? Bob
