A cone will never keep up with a cracker, the cracker can bust up sticks/stumps then launch them onto a pile or load the truck using it as a grab. I know the crackers need a bit more maintenance over a period of time with fatigue and cracking in the pincers but they are so much more productive. Brilliant bit of kit. Bob

The Jenz is a great machine but if hiring one be ultra careful what goes through it. My mate George has had 20k + repair bills on his when lumps of steel and concrete have been accidentally put through. Easier than you think when feeding with an excavator and grab. Bob

Its not really the only design problem. The whole pump setup is about a foot long and is only bolted one end on the two holes. After welding the bracket i made a stay/adjuster that runs from the engine to the pump. This should support it all a bit better New starter turned up from Woodautos today , £90 instead of £160 from Kubota. Their part number STR 70073 All done and working Bob

Too many drag starts in the transit trying to get green waste out of the back made it smell funny according to the lads. I think its lost its newness

Bad day for the tracked TW. Hydraulic pump bracket fell to bits and chewed up the belts , the starter has been playing about so had a look at that as well. Mortice and tenon joint on a kin steel bracket what a POS. . Glued it together Intermittent starter problem thats been getting worse, the lads have been beating it with a hammer. Contacts all burnt out so its scrap.

Most parcels go to a hub in the midlands irrespective of where the destination is, they are then sent out to courier firms from there. So if I sent a pallet from here that was to go 10 miles down the road it would go via Birmingham. Ours is not the reason why:001_smile: bob

Thats a cracking job you made of that tipper body, the only things I would have done different would be to raise the front bolster to the same height as the rear body to support long ladders, also I would add some upstands to keep ladders falling off the side and some tie down hooks.I had to do this on the transit as an afterthought which was a pain. Bob

Granted this is not ideal but as pointed out if carefully put back and tightened up should be ok. I have never seen a fractured taperlock thats been reused fail. If there was a failure it would be because it was not seated properly so you would need your wits about you. Bob

Mixed feelings on them here since one put down in my fields and put our mare that was in foal through the wire fencing , I had to have her destroyed. The people in the basket all fell out as it was dragged on its side along the field and a woman broke her leg. Hell of a mess:thumbdown: Bob

The last time I got involved with Ash for bats it cost me a fortune, we cleared a woodland full of Ash and were approached by an outfit that wanted the roots and were prepared to pay for them ( not a lot either ) . They wanted a decent bit left out of the ground which made hard work for us to clear up and despite loads of promises they never turned up. In the end I had to return to destump and burn the lot because the customer was getting the hump over the time being taken. Bob

I recently bought a Delica for the lads to use as a paddy wagon but after driving it for a few days I have ripped out all the rear seats and turned it into a van as service barge for myself. Its brilliant , loads of ground clearance with virtually no overhang back or front so it gets places non of the pickups can and all my kits locked away inside. Really comfy , tows well, cheap as chips , plenty fast enough and allowed into the lez. Bob

Very true, they also quickly forget how long its taken to straighten out the errors of spendthrift administration. If anyone here really thinks that some of these other parties above on here are capable of delivering a fraction of their pre election promises they are deluded. Take from the working industrious rich and give to the poor via a tax reshuffle, some need reminding how easy it is to be elsewhere. Bob

Custom made Costa for me. Pay for a large cup at the till, go to the machine and press the button for the black espresso and start the machine, let the hot water just run and when the coffee starts quickly shove the cup in. Do this twice so there are two decent shots of espresso in there with no water and then put a regular Latte on top. The nuts. Bob

We got the Connect, Partner and a kangoo. I reckon top prize goes to the Partner, they are all good on fuel with probably the Kangoo as the winner on that but the Partners are so much quieter and smoother, also have the biggest load space. Bob
