  1. Trucks sold. Thanks. Bob
  2. As said they are dear, about £130 a side the last time I bought some for a 3000 series and thats without the lamp , the wing panels are the same kind of money . After mashing a few sets I folded some sheet steel and fitted a truck light unit/lens. You can just see the end of it. Tin work is all a bit vulnerable on a massey Thats why I caged round the guards on the 6000 series. no more problems.
  3. There was an aftermarket diff cover that was made to go over the top of the old cover. They may still sell it, worth a try GP Reinforced Diff Pan Bob
  4. Or we are just to old and lazy, it works for him Bob
  5. Got this one in the yard going begging, 2.8 engine fitted, new clutch and pretty solid all round ( unusual) Needs electrical gremlins sorted out , I just fired it up and it has one sticking brake, also some tw@t sprayed it blue.. Good for going back on the road or spares. From memory its a 6.something tonner, only reason I never put it on the road was all the oldies have retired and none of the kids can drive it unless I agg register it. Bob
  6. Anything can tow two trailers as long as the whole shebang conforms to construction and uses. Overall legal length would probably be a major consideration. I remember a letter written to Vosa on a landy forum posing this very question and this was their reply. Bob
  7. Only a tiny percentage of the 3 billion people living in poverty worldwide need to up sticks and migrate which would amount to tens of millions. Economic migrants are beating on our door at this very moment, non of them could be convinced they would be happy if you returned them to their homeland. I think the guy in the clip makes a very valid and realistic point, things need to be done to improve standards in their homeland. Bob
  8. We cant draw parallels between illiteracy and intelligence , an uneducated illiterate person is not necessarily unintelligent . Its our duty if we accept immigrants to bring them up to speed so they do integrate, better their lives and contribute to our society. Bob
  9. Someone that has a proper handle on the problem that affects each and everyone of us. Six minutes of education. Bob [ame] [/ame]
  10. That pistons fried properly:laugh1: Whats the diff off of? Bob
  11. Someone will be along in a minute Chris with one that can carry six ton and still be 500kg under the 3.5 ton limit Bob
  12. Thats probably a good machine for romping through bramble and small stuff Matt but its hardly a forestry mulcher. They advertise their bigger machine as capable of up to 8" ?? its a 90 ish HP machine, with the HP the machine uses and the pumping losses through the pipework there must only be about 40hp at the head, that will be very very slow going on lop and top in a forestry application. That said it will have its place in the market. Bob
  13. I agree, I think hell would freeze over before mulchers are hired out without an experienced operator. Paul Vigen did have a buncher gatherer , worth a try Ascot Tree Services - Gallery Bob
  14. I dont really question him on the fuel but just put a calculator on it and its about right. He has just finished a job 60 miles away so he is doing 120 miles a day but cant do the third day without filling up again, so thats about 14.11mpg give or take a bit with whats rattling about in the tank when the light comes on. Bob
  15. One of our lads has got one and he thinks its great. He struggles to get 15mpg out of it but I am sure thats down to his club foot driving style. Bob
  16. Had this 100`+ Redwood to drop on a site saturday, surrounded by excavations , mud and commotion but a patch of grass at the base.We made the decision to strip it rather than fell it into the mud and then do battle with it on the floor. Started at 8 and off site at 12, all done. Excuse the kids being horrible to each other, one of them took this with his phone:) You have to click on the image. Hilux as a dumper All done and a few nice sticks for the mill:thumbup1:
  17. +1 on that or you will kill the rotator. You need something along the lines of the one on our truck. Try and include the stops so you dont squish the pipe fittings. Bob
  18. The lads managed to knock the kill switch off the tracked TW, Picked up and fitted a replacement but could not get it going, with the new switch it was doing oddball things like starting while cranking and shutting off as soon as the key was released. I spent a few hours on it and phoned up TW who asked what the PT number of the switch was, I had apparently been given the wrong one, although identical to look at they had given me the kill switch off the roller controls which functions in a totally different way . The kill switch for the engine ends in a 1 and the kill switch for the rollers in a 6. The wrong one next to the broken switch Bob
  19. That will keep you busy for a minute Chris Thats a decent repair job Timbernut especially considering how it looked:thumbup1: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=190420&stc=1&d=1443124177
  20. We are clearing a site in Amesbury later in the year and there will be app 100 tons of various timber all shapes and sizes coming off. It will be on the truck anyway and going to a burn site very near to site, so if there are any log goblins in or around Amesbury that will cough up the diesel money I will deliver it in. Bob
  21. You need one of these gadgets. How to Fit a Multiplex Bypass Relay Bob
  22. More stinking Rhody clearance
  23. A good friend of mine has a disabled child and his mother would send him off every morning to Mr Patels for milk and bread. Anyway she was away and my mate was left at the bridge for a week so off they sent him for the bread and milk, my mate checked the change and he was a fiver short. ( sent out with a tenner and given the change as if it was a fiver) Anyway next day he was sent off with the tenner but my mate was stood outside waiting, as his lad came out he grabbed the change and checked it , again a fiver short. Mr Patel sensed the displeasure of my friend as he ransacked the shop , collected the correct money and firmly put him in his place. It had probably been going on for years, anyway Mr Patel can now count. Thats an english education Bob
  24. AP racing offer HD clutch kits for a Landy so they may well do one for a transit. If not you would do better to get a fitter to install an LUK kit with a solid flywheel.I dont think Mr clutch will fit anything other than a budget cheapy. Clutch out of our transit that was smelling, way to small for a semi commercial.
