  1. I hired an electric breaker and a point for the weekend to take out a path in the back garden. I had attacked it with a big hammer and bar and made no impression, it was like bell metal. I was just looking at the job and decided to try the breaker to see how it performed and within a few hours the job was done, no problem. I had to look for more stuff to break up to justify the other days rental.
  2. It sounds a lot when you say it like that
  3. What oils the bar ? I've seen similar home made contraptions for angle grinder conversions and they have the same omission.
  4. Rotatech chains get mixed reviews, I've got a couple for the Husqvarna 135 (same engine as your 435) and had no problems with them. Pretty sure the depth gauge I use is 0.25", yours will be the .325 chain so will help keep engine speed up when cutting.
  5. I went to cut and pick up some Birch that was on Freecycle. When I got there the woman said her brother had cut the tree down with an axe. It looked like it had been done by beavers and had taken him all day to get it down, he was about 70. It was quite big and I cut it into pieces and trailered it away offering to cut any more she needed just for the wood but she has never asked.
  6. Nice little runabout, reminds me of a couple of years ago rounding a corner up Hardwick and coming face to face with a Ferret scout car.
  7. You are not trying to tighten it up so it doesn't wobble are you ? You should be able to pull the chain out so far and there is a limit to how tight you need to go.
  8. And he used to charge us for the cotton dust we took home in our lungs, then wer't days.
  9. I'd say it's not even run in yet at 368 hours, you are just looking for an excuse to buy a new saw Lots of single cylinder motorbikes are running about with many thousands of miles on the clock, the bike analogy doesn't really work.
  10. Not used mine for a while now but it has always just run. It doesn't stay in adjustment, needs tweaking now to keep it in tune. The boot is soft rubber on mine so serves as a gasket. It cuts out on the over run more than anything but will restart easily then and will tick over. Hylomar will not do any harm but I would clean the carb again and give it a good blow through then set it back up from scratch.
  11. We're doomed !
  12. Is it a Hardy perennial, Laurel ?
  13. Blue sky thinking mate, you've either got it or you haven't
  14. Topper is my hero https://imgur.com/gallery/P9aT0
  15. I think the E version had tool free chain adjustment, self slackening type of thing and best avoided by anyone with a bit of common sense.
  16. Just sharpen it and don't try to make the cutters all the same length or you will waste a lot of chain. A couple shorter will not make much difference.
  17. Will it be like the laptop I bought in tesco's car park that turned out to be 2 sheets of MDF in a cardboard box ??
  18. I'm not having any of it burns that well.
  19. Let's have the video as well
  20. Mine has given sterling service over the last five years sharpening mine and a friends chains. You'd have to be pretty cack handed to break one in hours I reckon. £20 well spent I think.
  21. When you go climbing in the park take a rucksack with a cat in it and you can be rescuing it

I didn't see the rules anywhere?
  23. Buy loose tea, we use Co-op 99, it still comes in a plastic foil container inside a cardboard box though.

    Did we pass ?
  25. I notice there are still places selling hand cleaner with poly chips which are finding their way into the food chain. They are available on Amazon and other places despite the ban since January 2018. I'm not an extremist but I think these problems need addressing.
