    Hernia

Resurrecting this, I have an appointment to see a consultant in a couple of weeks about my hernia. GP looked at it and referred me. I put it off years ago as I was treated for bladder cancer at the same time as the op was due and couldn't face it but now it is getting awkward and looks like a duck egg above my tackle. I'm retired so recovery time and sterility is not a problem but I do like to keep active and mobile so it's good to read about other people's results.
  2. I'm impressed anyway, now give order or I'm bringing the turn back on. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpR0UtZMIYk[/ame]
  3. Careful Tom, he does come on here sometimes....
  4. There's been some heavy rain in the night but it's only light showers now, steady breeze about 20 mph. We had none of the really high winds here.
  5. I know who that is. [ame] [/ame]
  6. I don't see the point. Two people quoted and the second got it on price. Was anyone injured during the job ? The first company was obviously wrong in their assessment.
  7. Put a board onthe stairs, knock a nail in at the top and tie a rope round it then hang yourself up by the ankles
  8. Definition of "uphill gardener". Someone who pushes manure uphill without a barrow Are you saving up for a shirt ? My bike is only a hybrid as I am an old bloke. We have proper hills round here and my best speed downhill is 47.8mph. I don't go down the same hill that fast on my Honda.
  9. You just got the wrong picture, your other profile makes you look a bit younger.
  10. If you touch someone against their will you can be charged with assault and it could be an infringement of his human rights as well. Was I wearing my helmet and lycra Matt ?
  11. I thought this explained the rest of it pretty well I'm not a big fan of paying more for anything but I do use Aspen as a home use only cutting occasionally. I think if I was using gallons of fuel a day it would put me off.
  12. I think it's been stated a few times that most of the cost difference in uk is down to the tax put on fuel.
  13. Make sure your tool is in good condition and don't forget to lubricate your equipment
  14. Cack handed operator I'd say agreeing with Spud. I've had mine for ages with no problem. You can't blame everything that goes wrong on bad design of something. When something is deemed foolproof they just come up with a better class of fool.
  15. Get him a new 880 and he'll feel really bad Ask to see the bar and chain, if the chain goes round the bar it's probably the chain at fault. It's probably not making dust like he's used to and the chips are unnerving him if you sharpened it.
  16. I have a couple of Worcester Pearmain trees in the back garden which I planted about 30 years ago. Some years they do really well and others not so much. They are getting ready for cutting back again this year as they are growing taller. Last year I noticed a lot of the apples had black spots and were malformed on one of the trees and I might look into something to prevent it this year. Nice to see the orchard and old trees being maintained.
  17. Don't do it, don't do it....... Too late

  19. Drill a hole through a golf ball, turn it into something useful
  20. I think he meant sole icitors
  21. I'm not looking for codwood now but if any of it's big enough to mill into plankton Big J might be interested.
  22. You can buy a new 236 from World of Power in Buxton for £129 including vat.

  24. I'd welcome one just to anchor me to a tree while I'm cutting, I'm a bit too old to go climbing apart from up a ladder. At present I use a webbing loop one I made up like the ones on youtube. I'm not calling you Stoat, fair play for asking. I think it's me that's a bit at the back of the door not one to come forward.
  25. You'll run out one day then
