  1. Has it fixed the problem ? If it's a safety feature is it worth bodging
  2. If you have bits left over at the end of the job you've improved on the design.
  3. You can get aftermarket from eBay for £22 complete with brake
  4. We had a cherry in the back garden which grew from a sucker and it grew very quickly. It had lots of blossom and fruit and I noticed the birds liked them so I tried one out of curiosity. It was not one of my better ideas, the taste was horrible, a cross between bitter and sour and it was not long before the tree was down as it outgrew it's situation.
  5. I remember watching wrestling, names like Billy Two Rivers and Jackie Pallo. You could predict what was going to happen next but it was all good entertainment.
  6. Do chainsaws come under Loler regulations ?
  7. or "cited by OSHA", what for, safety violations ? I bet their payment for the programme more than covered any fines.
  8. Why did he cut it if he didn't want it to fall down? It sounds like all the other drama queen rubbish like OC Choppers and ice road truckers.
  9. It says "This video is private" on my computer. Secret squirrel stuff eh ?

    Subsidence

Sorry for the double post but the edit won't work due to time limit. The cracking inside under the window I would hack that off and look as it just appears to have separated from the brickwork, probably due to drying out too quick from the radiator heat or a bad mix. I've expanded the other pictures and I can't see anything that would cause the amount of concern your surveyor and tree person are exhibiting but the pictures are not great, how old is the house ?

    Subsidence

From your pictures the trees don't look that close to the house main structure. I can see how they would have affected the boundary wall but if the house is cracking and it doesn't look that old a building I would put it down to inadequate footings. Surveyors are notorious for covering themselves against all eventualities, has anyone dug down to check the ground under the cracking area ? If there are roots and they are damaging the brickwork they will be easily visible but if there is no evidence you could be looking at underpinning which will be expensive.
  12. If it's running on choke it sounds like it's too weak off choke. Try another turn out on the L screw and be prepared to alter the tick over screw as well.
  13. Some cars use taper seat spark plugs you struggle to get out even if they are torqued in. Ordinary plugs I tighten till they stop then give them another flat.
  14. Do Kawasaki make their own carbs ? I've seen Zama on them and don't follow why they should be worse affected than other brands.
  15. Martins have short thick V tail, swallows have longer streamers.
  16. I've seen that on old carbs as well. I know it's an emulsion tube but doesn't it smell more like gloss paint ?
  17. Yes I'd say that looks identical to my 135 side casing.
  18. You can still do everything you could apart from tune the carb can't you ? A couple of autotune saws have been repaired, rebuilt and ported on here and they still perform better than standard apparently. It's progress and we are stuck with it, you don't want to go back to points and condensers for sure.
  19. Sh!t in the carburettor ! How often I got to do that then ?
  20. One in the shop round the corner for £5995 get in quick. It's a minter with sod all miles on it.

    Hernia

Resurrecting this, I have an appointment to see a consultant in a couple of weeks about my hernia. GP looked at it and referred me. I put it off years ago as I was treated for bladder cancer at the same time as the op was due and couldn't face it but now it is getting awkward and looks like a duck egg above my tackle. I'm retired so recovery time and sterility is not a problem but I do like to keep active and mobile so it's good to read about other people's results.
  22. I'm impressed anyway, now give order or I'm bringing the turn back on. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpR0UtZMIYk[/ame]
  23. Careful Tom, he does come on here sometimes....
  24. There's been some heavy rain in the night but it's only light showers now, steady breeze about 20 mph. We had none of the really high winds here.
  25. I know who that is. [ame] [/ame]
