  1. If they are too short they are the wrong chains. If the gauge you ordered is correct then there should be no variation in length. Did 76 links fit the Oregon bar before, was the chain new or stretched when you fitted the bar ?
  2. If you had an accident and lost a couple of fingers it could end up saying OLD and FAT
  3. What's puzzling me is why your client is paying for work on someone else's property ?
  4. It looks well rusted and wouldn't take much to puncture it. I bet you could poke your finger through it in places.
  5. That's more of a triangle We had squirrel at the Elvaston wood fair. We were out walking and noticed a lot of hedge nuts on the roadside trees this year. Not seen many sloes though.
  6. Where does it say that's an off road truck ? It looks like it has solid tyres and a solid chassis, no suspension travel on it. Ground clearance looks alright under the chassis but the mast is the low point.
  7. I used to do that on the council round local schools but it was 40 years ago. We used slaked lime and water mixed in a tank on the trailer behind the Land Rover and tip a cap of paraquat in the machine to keep the grass down. It's all done with paint or "fluid" now I believe but the principle must be similar.

    Wages

Does it cover ladders Mark ?
  9. Cut the foot out you missus' tights and wrap it round.
  10. He was wearing the wrong shirt.
  11. Are there a few hanging round outside the entrance to the colony on guard ? We had some in a bird box last year, they were there about six weeks then disappeared leaving a few dead in the box. We looked into it and they were apparently tree bees. They were no problem unlike the wasp nest at the bottom of the garden which I destroyed when I got stung on the belly again. Just read it again and yours sounds like the leaf cutter or solitary bee which we set up a box for. They like narrow tubes and seal their eggs in with vegetable matter for the larva to eat on the way out. They look a lot like a hover fly.
  12. I got a bundle from Peak turning supplies with quite a few woods in for £10. I love snakewood and I did a couple of handles with it. I found some called Partridge wood for a handle for a damascus knife my shooter friend bought and I did another in Ironwood with nickel pins. He bought the knife blanks at a gun fair, I made a sheath for the knife as well but never got round to dieing it yet.
  13. Don't procrastinate, go alkylate. Aspen fuel.

    Ouch..

Why was someone filming a woman walking across a restaurant ?
  15. Is it broken ? Good job you had your hat on back to front or it would have knocked that off as well
  16. I have a few Mora knives, three and a couple of spoon knives. I've had them for years and they are superb for the price. They come razor sharp, I use the carbon steel and they sharpen up a treat without too much effort. Just looked and I have a couple more in the laminated steel with wood handles for straight whittling, a Mora 120 and a shorter one. Cutting onions will stain a carbon blade in no time.
  17. It should have a glass roof on that so it's not hidden from outside, it's like art.

    Tiny echo!

He was given a replacement set as a gesture of goodwill even though the warranty had just expired. The manufacturer had fulfilled their obligation by publishing a recall notice. The supplier is not liable as they did not knowingly sell a faulty product.

    Tiny echo!

Friend of ours had a £1000 tv caught fire and when he complained to the supplier they informed him it had been the subject of a recall for the problem. He didn't see the notice as it was buried on the back pages of selected newspapers and on tbe website which he didn't look at.
  22. Don't think so, the tree's on the floor not the roof and he's still in the picture
  23. I looked at an Alko and it was all metal not plastic but it was the same shape. The Frontier and old Husqvarna 35 were similar as well.
  24. It looks like something from the Ronco or K Tel corporation in the 60s and 70s "as seen on television"
  25. It's a stealth coating for undercover work.
