  1. Yes that was caused by me trying to be clever by raising the tipper after I had lifted the bag to let gravity swing it round. When the tipper is down the only lean comes from the suspension compressing, I just wedge a cut railway sleeper under the tree slider to stop it cranking over too much.
  2. It's an lt77 Jon, fuel is a bit hard to judge at the moment as the milometer and fuel gauge are both a bit duff, but it's certainly good enough for me.
  3. The goodwinch is fine for the money, much better than my mates t-maxs/Brit parts, but not as good a my old warn(but a new one of them is twice the price). I have no idea how much it would be to have sprayed as I had this rolled for £250, it made a good finish for my needs but probably wouldn't suit most people. Alnd I don't think he would do it for that price now, he was just starting out when he did mine. I'm perfectly happy with this finish as I can always have it reprinted every couple of years if I strip too much paint off off-roading.
  4. Evening Jon it's a discovery 200 tdi engine, the current model b f MUDs and a good winch goldfish 9500 lb winch:thumbup:
  5. It's a sealey 900kg, so any sealey supplier can get you one, it works quite well but I should have got one of the ones that have a winch on instead of a fixed length chain. I have the problem of my barn being on a slope so when you get the bag of logs high enough you have to fight gravity to swing them round onto the truck, but this probably wouldn't be a problem for most yards/people. I am probably going to order a couple of the base plates to mount on my trailer and one that slots on and off my tractors pallet forks so I can use the one crane in 3 different places.this bit:
  6. As above really, where would be a good place to get a 1998 600 grizzly worked on in or around Hertfordshire? Thanks
  7. I can't seem to get more than 1 piicture attached per post.
  8. All change in my shed, all my dry logs are bagged and ready to go as I now have a way of lifting full bags on.
  9. Fencing
  10. The truck has been busy earning it's keep recently, fencing far into the fields and delivering logs and I have changed the old fashioned spots for a much brighter led bar, and fitted a hand crane.
  11. 130 with a tuned td5 or 300tdi depending on your personal preference, built up on a galv chassis and overhauled axles. With belts, wheel bearings, ujs, lift and water pumps kept on your shelf so you have them to hand. Or you could be really brave and fit a 3litre Isuzu engine, then it would go like a train. For a while...
  12. ignore the reputation and get yourself a 3litre trooper, just try and find one with lots of service history and that's had the required recalls done. then change the oil every 6k max, one of my customers has had half a dozen 3 litres with no problems, the last 1 had 180k on it when he sold it and we still see it about from time to time 3 years after he sold it. I think that they are the best value 4x4 going, and I am a landrover man through and through!
  13. That picture is the 1 set up I would trade my defender tipper for!
  14. this year we have had a takuchi, yanmar and Kubota on hire, all with about 2500 hours on them and they were all pretty similar in ability, the yanmar was perhaps the one that worked the best, but very hard to put one above the others.
  15. I have the evolution chop saw and circular saw, both brilliant value and great tools, screw fix are pretty good aswell.
  16. Yes it is, unfortunately this one has the most play in it out of any hire digger we have had, it's still done tons of work this week.
  17. It's a hire digger so we won't be buying any attachments, but a ripper tooth will be on the list when I buy a digger. I haven't cut the stump off as it is full of steel bars. I have graded a ramp out the other side of the hole and plan to tow it up that with tha tractor, when I start to pull itt it will end up on its side and I will be able to scrape loads of mud off the bottom.
  18. Definitely not, I was just going past with that bucket on and wanted to take a picture.
  19. Amazing what you can do with a 1.5ton machine when you need to, it's dug it out but won't move the dead weight of it!
  20. Don't worry about the class 7 mot garage, mine is a class 7 you will be able to fiind a garage you like that does them no problem.
  21. 461(18 and 25inch bars) and 076(36 inch) hanging up in the shed, great pair of beasts.
  22. In a way yes, you can do loads with the app, including delete stuff you don't want and you can upload stuff to the iPod wirelessly but it takes ages. I wouldn't bother havering one with out a computer to go with it.
  23. Thanks for posting but I found one a few hours after I put this up and have not had chance to go online since, cheers, William.
  24. Does anyone have a quad for sale, ideally less than £2500, I ideally in the south east and ideally yamaha or Honda . Thanks, William.
