  1. Have had my 150p now for around 18months and very pleased with it,however like yourself I have had paint issues especially with the grey chassis were it has been flaking and peeling off but thankfully it’s a Greenmech and all it took was a email and a couple of photographs and the team at Greenmech we’re straight on the case. i got in touch with Martin and Spencer at Greenmech At the factory in Alcester and within 10 minutes I assured it would be sorted ASAP...ok you like me would think ya ok I bet this drags on and on but even as we speak now my Chipper is in there shop being stripped down and having a complete respray. And even though they couldn’t get me a 150 to lend they got me a nearly new 130 to have for the time it will take to complete which will be around 2 weeks. i know in the great scheme of things it may have been a case of me being funny and asking for a new machine replacement but i’am so impressed with the way I have been treated and Greenmech staff and professionalism in dealing with my problem there was no way I was going to argue the toss about replacing the machine. jase at the factory is the work shop manager and he met me at the factory and ran through a few things and is dealing with everything. this is one of the main reasons I have always had Greenmech apart from they are really great machines I can’t think of another company helping out the small guy as I don’t spend £££££££££ just a single Machine every couple of years. i have been thinking bout the Quadchip for a while now but have just seen the new Evo165 and now just not sure. so with your paint issues wick...I wouldn’t worry because going by my exspierance you won’t have any problems getting it sorted it’s just time in getting it done.
  2. I love anything to do with wildlife especially in this country,I have watched and anticipated the beginning of springwatch for many years,Bill Oddy was fab and the original set up was all about the wildlfe(Even Though It Doesn’t Start Till Nearly June)Hardley any talking just loads of camera shots and live feeds to various locations and 3 weeks of great information. But since Chris Packham and that annoying Michalea Strachan have been doing the show it’s gone tits and I don’t mean blue, she is so f—king annoying the way she keeps trying to be funny and that knob packham is a smug shit..I will still watch it but it’s getting to the point we’re i’am starting get bored with there constant attempts at trying to be funny. Anybody feeling the same and your thoughts.
  3. Personally I can’t see any issues with the planting of billions of trees as it will be mainly planting out into areas were trees and or single tree have died,as for the hedgerows I think there will be a problem not only deciding were to begin but the farm equipment we have now needs wide open acreage of fields and turning them back into a patch work as of 50/60 years ago with be near impossible.
  4. Should have said majority of farmers?
  5. In my view even the mention of planting any number of trees is good news and may be just may Mr Wordsley is has good as his name and sticks to his words and follows it through...like I said his background is farming and not may people know more about ecology and conservation etc then farmers...trees are the life blood of the planet and we are in major trouble at the moment and I know nature has away of dealing with changes to climate and diseases, but a lot of what’s happening now to the planet aren’t natural they are man made so whatever we can do to help is a good thing.
  6. A wood cutter...here is my number 07976698118 based in Droitwich West Midlands...only small set up but always busy...nothing ever to difficult I leave all that to the big boys to deal with..give me your details..do work 50 mile radius of base so up to stoke and down to Monmouth areas...have odd day here and there.
  7. Well our new so called Tree Minister has outlined plans to plant 3Billion trees and 200’000 miles of hedgerows by 2050...step in the right direction or just election talk???Mr worsley is the right guy for the job as he is a farmer and landowner who himself has planted out Thousands trees over a number of years on his estate.if this happens it will stand this country in good stead for generations to come and I for one will be happy..however as with all these projects it comes down to cost and funding...not only for the sourcing the correct tree species but for the labour to plant out and of course to keep the trees and saplings free from out furry friends who will have a knife and fork ready for the feast and not forgetting the non indigenous species who find there way here...we have big problems in that area...anyway I think it’s a massive step in the right direction so let’s see how this develops...hope so in my life time.
  8. That’s a shame you packing it in bill but when your body tells you something you have to listen, hard decision to make buddy but what ever you do I wish you all the best,as for the kit you have some good gear there and a perfect little starter package for someone, the rope guide and chainsaw alone is near £500 for new..so bargain for some one.good luck and all the best?
  9. Easy fella...we all have our different opinions on such assholes riding roughshod over planing and in our case people taking the piss when a tree has a TPO on it...it was put on for a reason Weather it’s a big weed(Redwood) Or a Mature Oak...the asshole should not have done what he did..that is the whole point.
  10. Thanks Mick...did you read it and what’s your angle on it? Like you say there are always 2 stories...but to me and what I have read this guy took a chance and there are a number of scenarios to this...but it’s not going to bring back that tree or any of the others which were cut down...could put the firm who carried out the work out of business.Anybody got any information who it was? I think his name was mentioned in the piece I read in the mail.
  11. Mike i wouldn’t have a clue how to download it...just read it in the mail...apparently it was done last month and he is going to be prosecuted...when you find it can you down load the link?
  12. Here we go again..builder in Swansea mistakingly fells the oldest Red Wood in the country and a large number of others to clear land for 80 houses....need to fine him the cost of the land and the 80 houses he will build and double it.
  13. A silkster...glad you took my advice...on my 2nd pair now...there are fab climbing boots and you will find it hard to wear anything else now...good to catch up last weekend..can’t believe how much waight the blogs has lost...anyway catch up at kevs in September.
  14. Morning buddy...hope all good with yourself and family...just to say yep I will be going down but just for the Saturday...be good to catch up for annual chat and catch up?
  15. No problem buddy...I have got my kit not including vehicles insured for around 45k and it’s just over 2k if I remember correctly.its worth giving them a ring..I started with them and they have looked after me...am sure if I spent the time rigging round I could find cheaper but because they looked after me after my break in I will stick wi h them.
  16. Get in touch with mike wall at Tree Surgery insurance..very helpful and when I claimed a couple of years ago they were top notch...tell them Wayne from 5 Shires Tree Surgery recommended you...then I get £25...yippee..but seriously try them, they cover Landscapeing as well.
  17. I think something like this comes down to the kind of person you are and how you pride your self in your work etc...I personally would have made sure when seeing the job that those 2 small trees/saplings were to come out as well as if left they would look unsightly and make the job look unfinished...or any other scenario anyone wishes to come up with I would still have taken them out, whats 5/10 minz..who knows if they were being assholes or not..the question is what would any of us do..I would have taken them out.
  18. So that still makes it ok for the knobhead to ignore all the correct procedures and just rip the whole area up the then ??? What about the population of wildlife that area holds??? Wht reaction would have made if it was on your back door and you woke up to all that green space ripped to shit???
  19. Sorry feller...but how many times do you need to be told about not to leave your chainsaws etc in your van??? Not even a pair of gloves...open invitation to these people...hope your insurance covers what you have lost.
  20. Kinell.
  21. Ya I know but seemed like he was being given a bit to much over the top stick....all harmless fun I guess but I obviously thought enough is enough...like I said apologies to everyone for over reacting.
  22. My apologies to all concerned.
  23. Exactly.
  24. Hi woodcutter I can’t take this shit anymore and I will put you right as to what the guys are saying without actually saying it,,,they think your bull shting about your qualifications and all your tickets etc and nothing to do with your spelling,,think bout it,spinning a yarn, glad can’t smell, etc etc
