  9. Same ,mulching blades are the dogs, and leaves next to nothing to clear up.
  10. Also if you have unlimited wood get a wood burner not a multi fuel burner , you usually get a bigger fire box and more efficient .
  11. I have a dovre 425 and i got a replacement glass on ebay , perfect fit and its been in about 18 months no probs, i think it was about 40 pounds
  12. Go to a review site called what stove, they have hundreds of unbiased reviews all of the above and more. I bought a dovre 425 woodburner 8kw , its cast iron fantastic build quality. This is its 3rd winter , and had no problems, im pleased with it and at about 800 pounds its a good price. Its made at the stovax factory.

  14. I have just started wearing glasses, and now prefer them, but have had a few bits of dead conifer stab me in the face.
  15. 2 x 200t. Ms181 for taking the odd fork out behind the chipper. 2 x 026 seen better days, ms362 ms460 ms ms880. When funds are there i will get somthing to replace the 026s . Dont know what to get though.
  16. I dont like seeing people hurting themselves , but doing it on the cheap sometimes costs them dear. They all think there tree surgeons.
  17. True, if you want trees to come down your not a tree lover. I always try to talk people out of taking down healthy trees. But there is always someone out there that will do it.
  18. I worked for the local auth in 87 i was,nt qualified then but still a part of one of the tree teams doing carrying and draging . We were out 48 hrs straight and got paid f all for it, i think time and a half and a day of, but the sub contractors came out of the woodwork and earnt a fortune, and half of them never had tickets or ppe, one of them was mentally below par . We did all the hard dangerous work ,while they cleared all the easy stuff. I would like to think times have changed, and if the storm is as bad as they say, i hope the good guys earn the good money.
  19. I bought the young lad a pair who works for us, he puts news paper in them every day because he said there always damp where his feet sweet in them. And there not the best looking boots.
