    48 in april i do all the climbing, and had a hip replacement, its not getting any easier though.

    Years ago before i new anything about lowering devices, my mate took two wraps round the tree, i knocked a big lump of beech out, the rope rid up and bit the rope, it took over an hour to get it free, get a bollard its easyer.

    Iv got an880 only use it when absolutly ness . Wish i had got the 660 with a 25 and 36 bar, would get a lot more use.

    Just found there site, ktmmachinery.co.uk They do 10 14 and 18 ton ones.

    I use zermatts, mine are a good two years old, still got plenty of life inthem. Recently got a pair husky tec 24, got them cheap and quite like them, they have kept me feet dry through all this crap weather.

    Cant remember the make of it, theres a guy down in the west country that makes them, we bought the basic model for about 380 pounds delivered on a palet. It just goes on the 3 point linkage 2 pipes, and one lever for up and down, si theres nothing to go wrong. Also he said he uses quality jcb rams on them. Had it three years its been good. The one thing is the plate you sit the wood on could be bigger.

    Got hd drift cam refurbished of ebay and it dont work, f_ _ _ed off , well my girls bought for me, thought it would save them some money getting a referbed one. Someone is gona get an earfull. Not happy.

    Just cleared a large conifer that split 3 ways and hit a caravan, there are afew more on site come down, but they can wait till after xmas. Got soaked, chucking it down

    My wifes working all over xmas, just the way her shifts have worked out, i couldnt go out if i wanted to, or i would be leaving my dauthter at home on her own. When i worked for our LA i got call out 3 times one xmas day, it wasnt worth it, so why not spend a few days with your family we all work hard enough the rest of the year.

    Kabota engines seem to run for ever, cant see a petrol engine lasting as long ,imo

    Iv got a ms 362 and i think ita great saw, mine goes through wood like a knife through butter, never gets bogged down.
