  2. Had a look at the screwfix page, and had a scan on youtube for things as well. The reason for the thinking behind the Dremel was can be used for other things. Recon I would only be using it for "letters/numbers" about 30-40 odd, no pictures as I say just a wood/rustic sign to have during & to leave after the job, Once sorted shouldnt take to to long to make them surely?. after looking on screwfix might even just get a cheap router and see how we go. Still keen for any other advice/help many thanks
  3. thanks were have a look, the sort of thing I want to "knock up" would almost be throw away signs, they would just be left in/on the hedge, Ive had stuff made before the plastic type thing, I now want to keep away from, You fix them in after the job or even during only to find there not there next day or been used for anything other than advertising, pennys wasted
  4. As the hedging season will soon be with us again, Im wondering about making simple, rustic signs to leave on the hedges after Ive finished then. Having had a look at some of the great work on here making sign's/logos etc Im wondering what others are using routering with. Would a Dremel be ok for the job Would something like a 3000 and a plunge router be ok, would be done free hand. Wood used would be what ever I get/or have got from the hedges. Ash Hazel Thorn etc etc (strangely hedge row wood:001_tongue:) Would just split it, plane it, write in it, Dont have any plans to make things for a living, just signs to hang there after the job, better than leaving a bit of plastic etc any help many thanks

  12. Wheel all the way, you might end up being over a bit after going round the odd rock, but thats better than being under
  13. so its not just Dorset with some strange bright warm light thing in the sky.
  14. Wore a broke watch for 4 days on holiday , just didnt feel right not to have 1 on. bought cheapest thing possible from hotle shop lasted about 5 years, for work now Argos cheapest casio quartz £7.49 yellow face easy reading might last a year or till battery runs out 2 weeks - 3yrs , then still cheaper to just buy new watch rather than battery. Strap breaks better than getting you caught up in something

  20. Well after looking through these last couple of pages. glad to see Im not the only 1 NOT on FB. The wife is though. When my website was updated I did request to have the link at the bottom of main page to "like" on FB a bit one sided/cheeky:blushing: I know but if you didnt mind looking/liking mine as well. All networking/potential customers as quoted below. Ill try n get wife to check some sites in return MANY thanks:thumbup1: Re: Please can you like my Facebook page -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Im not on facebook. Am just curious what the 'like' stuff is about? Why do you need to 'like' each other? __________________ http://aol.pixum.co.uk/slide/3364036/xact/slide
  21. Couple of other groups/sites Im on Ive got Flag counter linked to the sites, so you can see where in the worlds is looking you up. I just got round setting mine up on me website 27th May. Its nice not to go asking or chasing people/countrys to look as then its just a case of pure interest that someone has looked you up. Contradiction now.. Despite the above line I havent put link up as I guse you would want to see how it looks..If it sadly interests you like it dose me you can get a link from my page, scroll over the flag box bottom of page & follow guide and its FREE After doing my other sites ages ago found best way 8 coloums (think it is) x 248 (or what ever it is countrys). Theres some Im sure will never check us out but you never know. at the time of sending this Ive got UK France USA Canada Netherlands Malta NZ. You never know there might be work at the end of it have a good afternoon
  22. Hi ya Chris what about the Karcher (or any other make )patio or floor polisher type thing no good ??
  23. xrays of a tree in scotland with bike, anchor/plough, possibly horse bit, in it seen a few things on here, I put a couple on me self but not a anchor
  24. Last weekends demo at the Classic & Vintage show West Bay. Weather was good just the wind coming from the N/NE strange summer weather at the moment. Flat land not the best to show our style, far short of importing 2 ton of soil, making & turfing a bank then "planting the hedge" each time. Plenty of interest still though. There's a bit of a match between I remember my Grandad or I remember Dad always used to do the hedging on his/our old farm. Then its closely followed by either "don't see it done much now" or "nice to see it still being done". Then after hearing there great old storys, theres normally some comet about tractors & flails:001_tongue: as were all stood around looking at nice old classic & vintage tractors going by. Then you seem to hear almost the same thing again I remember my Grandad or I remember Dad always used to have one like that on his/our old farm. Good weekend was had that's the main thing.
