YES but you wont become Rockaa fella but in 10 20 30 50 years to come youd be able to say I did that hedge, work will be around for years, unless of course some bugger digs up ya hegde do a few contests as well, surprising how many landowners pop to see them get work from that. Once happy do a few county shows like HS and I do , 1 good fun & meet plenty of interesting(or is that strange:001_tongue:/interested people 2 again surprising how many landowners go to the proper county shows 2a shows normaly over a weekend and you HAVE to stay and guard your hedge armed with a beer and a fire going it while having a laugh with the other stands wow what a link there to Dorset show this weekend now wheres me fire pit Welcome to the Show | Dorset County Show & plus all of what HS has said. Job satisfaction 100% (yes I know each to there own)

  14. Well apart from the small shower mid morning, it wasnt sunny but a good day other wise. I know I need to get the pennys in the pocket, but if the cards going out and the "Ill give you a call to arrange pricing" is anything to go by it will have been worth doing the demo. Fingers crossed Great to catch up with Dave28 thanks for the "dremel/router" chat and good to catch you Matt, sorry not having seen ya face before didnt know it was you 1st time round:blushing: Each to there own but would recomend a visit to this show, even if just to look at some smashing old Oaks, (Rumors of it being 2day next yr) all in a great setting as well, oldest oakment to be about 700 yr. Matt said he has already put pic's on a little while ago. good to catch you guys see you soon
  15. Just had a brilliant day down at the Melplash Show,(pictures to follow next couple of days) plenty of interest, plenty of cards went out, and had 1/2 dozen saying they will ring for site visits/quotes, so hopefully the shows might pay of for this winter. Will be loading up tomorrow for Stock Gaylard Oak Fair near Kings Stag, north east ish corner of Dorset. If the weather can hold will be great, Be nice to catch up with you Matt and any other visitors
  16. this could be a long weekend .....ye old cider press on one side, cider seller the other and about 2 min walk from beer tent
  17. Cheers ....picked up a stencil so at least things same size got dremel plunge router 335,coming so will give beginers feed back on it . Enjoying playing , sure will be better with proper router base rather than a bit of plastic for a base on the bottom of current set up. Still have view of bigger & better kit cheers guys
  18. Hope the weather will clear for the show Yesterday's Farming Show at the moment drizzel, not good for tomorrow afternoon, but better Sunday. anyone about pop over say hello have a cuppa.
  19. Well had a little play still with the borrowed Skill Craft thingy The small 1 was one of the 1st from last weeks playing The 2 long ones are in some pallet wood and the round 1 had already split, just had a play to see how it would come out. Enjoyed playing might invest in some better tools
  20. Apart from holding the wood between me knees dont think the set could be much crude. so we have borrowed Power craft multi tool vice dremel 640 V bit any old bit of wood Ive found & not much space while waiting for pic's to up load just seen wisewood & mutley's coments , thanks chaps. have seen on youtube the fourmers etc etc.. cant think of the name just now but even like the drawing thing that was around in the old days,.... as stated on the 1st post at this moment in time dont plan to go at it for a living long way from doing that
  21. Just looking at 1st pic's, recon if I had bigger bit of wood by the time I reach the end Id have 3 foot high letters/numbers as they seem to grow towards the end:blushing:
  22. Well home early today, hammering it down soggy grass dont collect to well, big suprise post man been before 2.30 as well. Friday I ordered the Dremel 640 V router bit Shoved it in the borrowed Power Craft Multi tool and heres the very 1st shakey free hand bits of playing 1st 3 in a bit of beech just in different light, 2nd 2 small bit of Oak knocked up for pen holders, I just stick on the display at shows maybe now with name in. Recon the 1st 3 Im going to deep its not a clean "cut" in the bottom, or maybe trying to go to fast ???????. The pen holders not so deep. Any routering advise more than happy to receive
  23. Hi Ian & all What are the size of the letters and the sign/logo in this picture ? Had a word with a mate last night, low n behold he has a cheap version of a Dremel so just going to have a go with it see how we go, no router bits with it, so just ordered one V bit , fits with other "multitools" so see how we get on with that set up before we part with any router dosh.
