  1. What we do is change a mates name in your phone to Father Christmas and use a photo of him so it flashes up when he rings, Then just before bed time get him to ring and let the kids answer the phone, they have a chat for a few minutes and then go to bed. Then you ring up his phone and do the same for his kids.
  2. I wouldn't run it anymore till you've pulled the cylinder off, 80 is very low and 105 warm is also very low, it shouldn't even be running at them figures.

    009 Carb ?

    It wont. He's after a carb for a 009 not a 090
  4. Started to rebuild the 361 today after i went against my better judgement and bought a crank off the chinese seller on the bay. Now i wish i had not bothered, It looked good, measured up dimensionally on the bearing diameters to the original although the conrod was a bad quality casting. Anyway i fitted it, put on the piston and cylinder and rotated it by hand and it jammed up and wouldnt budge. I pulled the cylinder and the piston is jammed on the counter weights at bottom dead center. Turns out they are 2mm oversize and the completely useless.
  5. GENUINE STIHL MS201T & MS201 CHAIN BRAKE BAND PART NUMBER 1145 160 5400 | eBay Looks the same.
  6. 1145 is Ms201 and not having worked on one i couldnt tell you if it was the correct band or not.
  7. Its not a 026 brake band.
  8. I was always told 2 stroke oil thats designed for water cooled engines, like out boards and motor cross bikes was no good in air cooled garden machines.
  9. piston attached to crank (with seals in place), slide the piston into cylinder, dirko the base pan and fit it onto cylinder then slide the lot into place and bolt down.
  10. Try a new plug before you shell out for a coil.
  11. This is how it would be sent if you used a courier. Most commercial flights carry parcels as cargo. Ive sent engines all over Europe and never had a problem. Only problem ive had was with a uk courier carrying a saw around the uk.
  12. Hot Saws! I think Stihl organise events for customized saws.
  13. £126.21 is just the price of the crankshaft, last time i looked the cases were around £180 plus vat for the pair.
  14. MS200 genuine brand new parts, all plus vat Crank £126.21 Piston and cylinder £129.88 Carb £78.32 Just them 3 parts is over £400 with the vat.
  15. People buy new saws and part them out, especially in the states. The sum of the parts is worth more that the whole. Ive parted out a few brand new MS440 in the past, dosnt really pay nowadays as there are so many chinese parts around and people can get hold of them easy.
  16. It will be a Chinese part bought in large quantity by an UK seller, sometimes cheaper to buy off the Chinese guy on ebay and have it shipped from china. I suppose plastic parts should be ok, any other parts i would be wary of. I'm considering buying a Chinese crank for a MS361 as i cant find a good used one anywhere and i've had the saw in bits for a year.
  17. Windy all day, few trees and branches down, waiting for high tide on river humber tonight, met office have forecast potential flooding to places. And my fence panel has blown out and punched a 6 inch square hole in next doors upvc door.
  18. Its got to be compression, whats the inlet side of piston like?
  19. It was and the owner also didnt know the clutch is a left handed thread.
  20. On stop. They have been recalled and none are being sold.
  21. This is why i always use a piece of starter rope, or it gets costly.
  22. Spares or Repairs or sold as seen dosnt stand up on an ebay dispute if the description dosnt include everything thats wrong with it. I had a guy bought a MS440 that the seller said needed a new top end. He brought it to me to repair and the saw was missing the clutch, complete brake mechanism, coil and the inlet manifold. He opened a dispute and got his money back and the seller told him to keep the saw as he couldnt be bothered with any more hassle.
  23. I'd bet my boots hes lent it to a mate whose neat fueled it, then returned it as its stopped working. Then its been taken to a shop to see how much it is to repair. Stunned and shocked at the cost the've decided to try and get you to pay for it.
  24. If your a private seller, and the person who bought the saw opens a dispute, ebay will freeze any money thats in your paypal account, up to and including the purchase price plus packing and postage costs and if you have withdrew any money thats not cleared into your bank account yet, they will reverse it so there is enough money left to cover the price. If that still dosnt match the amount they take it from the registered bank account or credit card.
