  1. Stihl used to make (dont know if they do now) a 8 inch extension tube that allowed the hedgecutter head to be mounted right next too the coupling on the combi engines that made them easier to handle, this would be ideal on the back pack engines.
  2. There is a used 290 top end for sale on ebay piston and cylinder listed seperately, maybe just the piston would suffice.

  6. According to mike acres Model Profile: P12 it didnt have a chain brake.
  7. Its more than likely a fuel problem, it sounds just like the impulse hose from the cylinder to the rear of the orange handle isn't connected.
  8. What make piston did you put in? Are you certain you got all the transfer off the cylinder? Take the exhaust off again and have a look at the piston.
  9. Shredder blade on a brushcutter, These are some i was knocking down a while ago.

  13. There is a guy that sells it on ebay Stihl Machinery Paint | eBay pretty good and holds up to fuel spills very well. Its nigh on a perfect match and his orange you cant tell the difference. His blurb is right about leaving it to set, but you can bake it in the oven for 20 mins and its good to go.
  14. But i cant see how if you have to go and collect it. Stihl ms880 | Buckinghamshire | Gumtree
  15. The media cat dealer copies are available from the right places, its just the discs are dated and dont work after that date has passed, unless you do the little frig to your computer.

  18. Cheers Barrie, i thought they were but wanted to make certain.
  19. Cheers, but i just want to know if they are the same set of cutters and gear head. Ive sold a set of the HL cutters without the tube and the guy says they are not for a Kombi but i believe both sets of cutters are the same.

  22. Treat every spares or repairs as needing a top end and then your never dissapointed. Ive also got no repair work booked in so been helping a mate out whose lad is on holiday, been knocking 6 foot high brambles down all day and will be doing the same for the next 4 days. Give me a bench and a T27 any day.
  23. Whats the difference between them as they have different part numbers? I once repaired a tank on a rear handle because the dealer said one for the 200 would be on back order but had a 200t tank on the shelf but wouldnt fit.
  24. Im pretty sure the fuel tanks are different.
  25. Been to this one this morning North Cave Sunday Market | A traditional Sunday Market and Carboot Sale in rural East Yorkshire…… usually go every sunday for a bacon butty and a mooch around, didnt buy anything this morning. It tends to be a lot of people selling kids toys, sometimes people sell old tools and the like but you have to be there for opening time to get a bargain.
