  1. The whole point of stihl's handover policy is the saw is meant to be pdi'd before handing the saw to the customer.
  2. Apart from that, the line is LV, therefore it's a DNO, such as UKPN, WPD, SSE and SP. National grid have no authority over those network operators.
  3. Ms150! That's 3 whole kilograms fuelled up
  4. The 193t is an in between saw, it's got more power than the 150t, but isn't as light, and it's lighter than the 201t but doesn't have the power. In terms of build quality, it's the cheapest of the 3, being a true clam shell design, whilst the intake and exhaust ports are situated at right angles on the cylinder. It requires a great amount of modification to match a stock 201, but the same level of modifications on a 150 will surpass a stock 193. JLA arborists on here has one that I retuned to try and get rid of the bog. He has it on 12" PS3, it does the job but it won't win an award. But for £320, you've got a good deal, which will help you earn money to buy something better (if you use it enough). I assume shipping and import is included in that price?
  5. There you go, somebody already made an animated clip

Odd looking wrap on that saw, what's the saw in your display picture, as that has the wrap I'm used to?
  7. It's in the picture on the 1st post. You're most likely to find the plastic has warped, the only fix for it is replacement of the plastic casing. I've had saws like this, only homeowner grade, as they are usually the ones with plastic side casings. You're best off contacting the dealer you purchased the saw from

Good set of dogs, they custom or oem?
  9. That wouldn't solve the problem, if anything, you've created an additional problem of a slippy drum when the brake is applied.
  10. Sounds like the ones regularly on eBay from the states.
  11. Not really, it means it's close enough to be a hazard, meaning it will have a chunk punched out of the crown. I think that in this case, your cause is lost, better to have the tree removed and replaced, than to have a structurally unsound tree next to overhead lines and high foot traffic areas.
  12. Plastic clutch cover is probably warped, take it to a dealer.
  13. Has it snapped in the same place or a different place?
  14. In theory you could, vibes would be killer though. You're talking small trees and bushes if you're needing a clearing saw blade, you may be better off buying a chainsaw.
  15. Just to ask from a different angle, how far away is that open phase lv line? Not much point in retaining the tree if us utility arbs are going to bollocks it up in the near future. Also, structural defects doesn't just mean included unions, it can cover a wide range of faults, some of which you might not have noticed, such as crossing limbs, dead spots, flaking bark, with dead spots being mentioned. The fact that the recommendation is 12 month inspections tends to suggest that the tree is knackered. Most importantly, it's a tree, that, at certain times of the year has an increased volume of targets, some of which will enter the crown, which appears to be in decline as there is notable minor deadwood in the outer crown (which isn't normal for a semi-mature tree).
  16. Most use the 880 as it has a higher displacement, and therefore more torque. But the 3120xp has an auxiliary manual oiler, which is useful when milling large boards. An 084 combines the displacement of the 880 with an auxiliary oiler.
  17. Not quite, that torx bar doesn't fit the bolts on the handle, those are t20 iirc. Take a note of how the linkage fits together.
  18. You've buggered up the 550 already?!
  19. Rowena motors?
  20. No, you push the choke fully in, that's part throttle! If the saw is flooded, you can try, although not advisable, a full throttle start, if it refuses to fire from that, it's definitely an ignition fault, provided the compression isn't too low (below 130psi), as I have managed to run saws that have lightly seized with flooding them then full throttle starting.
  21. Yeah, compare a stereotypical German man to a Japanese man, that avensis is probably huge over there!
  22. But the Germans are anal and precise with engineering! But I suppose the Japanese are better with metal.
  23. You gone off dolmar?
  24. Yeah, I omitted the word more...
  25. There's no such thing as an intermediate position! Choke is on or off!
