  1. Thanks for the comments, I'm the son lol and I've only just joined after being in the army, but now were just gradually pushing and seeing what happens.
  2. Hi mr ringer you need to delete some inbox messages. I can't seem to send to you or contact u?
  3. We have loads of seasoned ash, elm and yew with both edges still on but were in Sussex
  4. There are a lot of mills out there I am biased to woodmizer a as we use them also my dad got his first one in the 90's so a lot of experience with good results, I'd talk to reps and try to have a go with the different mills available, also u need good back up with any mill so see who can offer this.
  5. Nice bit of timber but that view in the background is amazing
  6. We think this could be wild service tree or an oak? Possibly any help would be nice as it would be nice to identify it.
  7. Without expletives don't kiln green, the big boys get away with it because they don't reckon on getting 100% back, one of our customers who buys from abroad reckons they just throw it all in and on such a huge scale they can afford to lose some to honey combing, they also vacuums kiln it too which I believe but am not sure is better for green. We dry all our boards except the trial simon saw for as long as possible. Inch a year at least.
  8. Yes be interested to see what's for sale
  9. Pm sent for a price in ceder just for your interest.
  10. Have you thought about larch has it's own oils in which protect it from the wether, just supplied a load of larch for a low loader at tinkers park, one of the men who play with the wagons.

  13. Yeah she's all good thanks, 3 weeks old so a bit early to get her on the mill yet lol
  14. Hopefully it's not rot! Nice project for you though
  15. We could supply you with boards but that width would be worried about them cupping and moving. Plus we might be a bit far away.
  16. Old blades for when you could have nails!! Always have some just in case
