  1. Pop in anytime, had brockwells in today having a look
  2. 10m blades don't like nails lol
  3. Have you cutt the bottom off yet, do you know how sound it is, looks nice from the pictures but could be hiding all sorts. No offence.

  5. We have a load of seasoned air dried ash in 1' 1" and a half that we supply to yurt workers if that's of interest
  6. Be aware kiln drying timber too soon from cutting can produce honey combing! We air dried a stack of 2" qtr sawn planks for about 9 months got the moisture down and stuck in our kiln, a month or so later we pulled it out and the hole lot has exploded!! A few swear words and a lesson. Air dry an inch a year for oak anyways and then kiln. Honey combing is where the moisture is sucked out too quickly resulting in cracks opposite and through the grain.
  7. You'd be surprised we have got 2 artic loads of elm out of Eastbourne to mill for a customer. Been waiting since summer to cut it!

  16. Yeah we took a 6 tonne butt in yesterday, bought in on a low loader then rolled into the corner ha ha, can't work out how to post pictures yet
  17. Nice work our lt40 is used 6 days a week, easy to repair maintain. Plus you can sharp and set your own blades which is the biggest bonus. Especially once you realise most sharpeners get your blades as you like them. If your ever down Sussex feel free to come and look round our yard.
  18. We use jcb hydraulic oil, it's fluorescent green in colour. If this is any help.
  19. We visited Stevens setup a while ago, and its amazing some lovely equiptment. Steves a lovely bloke too.
  20. It's very sappy, but good for cladding. In big enough sizes it can be used for construction.

  23. We're waiting for our new mill, currently have a Woodmizer lt40hd, but we have just ordeerd it's bigger brother the WM1000
