  1. Look at her other ads... Seen these sorts of listings before for used undies and tights etc and they always seem to sell!!! Some odd people out there
  2. When i see these i put a silly bid of say 60k then report it.
  3. I think anything thats been a tipper for its entire life is likely to have had a hard time. Thinking of a crewcab or single cab James? For reference my Transit crewcab with alloy tipper bed and ply sides, with all gear loaded weighs in at 2450KG. Personally crewcab wins for me for the storage options available, yes the buck will be smaller but you can still only half fill it before being overweight. Theres no perfect solution with the weight limits we have, best of luck with your search!
  4. Skip will cost too much, get an old oil drum, a few beers and enjoy burning it.
  5. Great feeling eh? I remember going to pay in my first payment at the bank, great feeling even if was for only £40!
  6. Just pulling your leg mate Get a picture up as Steve said and Im sure someone can help out.
  7. You sure you got the postcode right? I just looked on Google street view and couldnt see it?...
  8. Thanks. I find certain types of advertising attract certain types of client for myself so was interested in the type you get from Checka.
  9. David is in Swaffham, Norfolk.
  10. Out of interest, for those who have or do use it, how would you profile the average lead from it? Talking in terms of age of client? upmarket or regular areas? Generally smaller jobs?
  11. As said, great engines. Rust seems to be the demon on older 150's. Mine had 940hr's (on the clock) and came fully serviced for 4k, 2003 model so the age shows in the bodywork, nothing a repaint couldn't hide (on the to do list).
  12. Yep. Infact the more its posted on forums the worse it will get. Think how many people have read just this thread and "clicked" just out of interest.. I did. Could infact get higher up the Google listings than the real link!
  13. Did you get contact with Otley / Easton about the 10 week arb course? Sure i remember you saying your under 24, so it would be free for you. As others have said or hinted at, DONT get yourself into anymore debt by trying to start up on your own, Im not saying dont try, but no more debt. Even a cheap van will knock you for 1-1.5K Getting a license these days? Dunno did mine 10 years ago but id say maybe budget 20-25 lessons MIN @ £22 per hour + test fees etc = £600 min? Van as a first vehicle? Insurance could be high? Not trying to put you off but just being able to get to a job you get is going to cost well over 2k and thats without any tools, trailer and odds and sods. Any local golf courses? Green keeping / grounds maintence would be a good start. Working for yourself is stressful also, play it safe and work for someone else, clear your debt and start putting some money away for a future battle plan. And if you haven't done... RING OTLEY!
  14. Lab Rover!
  15. Felling it would be easy.... The part I wouldn't like would be to grind the stump to 12" below the surface!!
  16. Hmm, OK client doesnt like said tree anyhow. I didnt "advise" a fell, he asked weather it would be allowed so I quoted for the job and once he accepted I got in contact with the TO. When TO visited the house I wasnt present, but the client was. TO emailed me back with the information. I then simply called the client asking whether a CR was acceptable but i didnt give any opinions as to what i think should be done.
  17. Was just thinking about a job i quoted a few weeks ago. keeping it simple - Client notice's TPO tree has developed lean after the recent winds. Calls me and I go and look, lean is over a public right of way but traffic maybe limited to 20 cars per day. I take some notes and photos and email the TO directly to ask if a formal application is needed or if he can make an exemption based on the lean to fell. canopy is ALL on the side of the lean and tree is on a steep bank ( tree leaning down bank). He inspects and decides that due to no root heave or signs of subsidence, the fell cannot be an exception BUT did say it may be prudent to put in a formal application for a CR. Price wise the job would of come to about the same and as such the clients not interested in a CR. Soo.... say it came down next week onto a car for example would there be any liability? if so to whom?
  18. Did the job get finished in the end? Employer get a mewp in?
  19. Trucks r US have all sorts from panel to tippers etc. Or Northgate van hire. both based in Ipswich but may have other branches
  20. Im sure he has a reason for not having one, maybe no where else to keep said CS100 over night.
  21. Hardtop 110? should be plenty of room and may even stand upright plus benefit of 4x4 and 3.5t towing ability. Couple of alloy ramps and small hand winch, job done!
  22. complete new style paddle box is £138.
  23. That seems cheap. Will call TW when home to get an up to date price.
  24. Mine does have the older style switches which are on their last legs also. this could well be a factor. Think I have used 5-6 150DBH's and I do recall all of them doing this at some point or another. I have the retro fit switches on my "to do list" anyway so will start by doing them. Anyone got an idea of how much the retro fit kit is from TW?
