  1. OK cards on the table, Im not too clued up on hydro systems, yet own a few! What sort of gauge would i need and where would I tee it in/take reading? IF the reading was below manufacturer spec I'm guessing pump would be on it way out?
  2. Fluid and filters done recently, was doing it before also. JW, will have a look for the wear you mention, thanks.
  3. Not what I wanted to hear. Mine just seems to not have the power on the larger pieces. It will start to munch them, maybe do a foot, then the freeze.
  4. As per title, happening more often now, the rollers will stop/freeze/jam on larger sections. A quick reverse and it will carry on fine. Fluids levels are good, greased etc Where do i look next? Thanks
  5. A rare thing with eBay!
  6. funny part is we have all been there with a few of them! fixing the path etc!

  9. They can be classed as plant i believe? Hence the exemption?
  10. Fair point. The suspicion was in the fact the seller said "my cousin had left the bike here a few years ago" and then emigrated. What took me out of the firing line was the fact i re-registered the bike with the DVLA in my name, so it was clear i wasn't aware it had been previously stolen.
  11. Police as mentioned, failing that maybe the Stihl dealers have database? I doubt it as it would be hassle for no real gain. I have requested info about items via a PNC check in the past but they haven't seemed too interested in doing so. My advice, take a pen and paper with you and write out a receipt with, Item, Address, Name, Date, Price AND the Serial number on it and make them sign it. I recently bought a motocross bike and suspected something wasn't right, i did the above to be safe.... 2 months later a knock on the door from plod asking why i have registered a stolen motorcycle in my name with the DVLA??? Showed all paperwork and they were happy, turned out the victim ( guy whos bike had been stolen 5 years ago) didnt want the bike back so i got to keep it. Using the details from the receipt i kept i took the guy who sold it me to small claims and got all my money back... = free bike But we are only taking about a blower here! Cover your arse and get some paperwork and you should be fine.
  12. There "was" a 300tdi 130 tipper on ebay last week, had to fight the urge to bid and sold quite cheap in the end i thought. >>> LAND ROVER DEFENDER 130 DROPSIDE 300TDI 4X4 110 TREE SURGERY FORESTRY TIPPER | eBay Just over 1.5k
  13. This one - STIHL MS361 CHAINSAW | eBay ?
  14. Perfect. Will see what deal i can get on 3 sheets. Looks like the rebuild will come in at less £100 inc paint Will put some piccys up when done. Thanks for the quick replies lads.
  15. Awesome thanks. ^^ this was my next question! Need to paint it leaving a nice smooth finish for sign writing. Is it worth sealing ll the edges also to prevent warping down the years? If so what with?
  16. Need to redo the sides and wanting to add a top/ roof for my chip box. the framework is all there but i need some ply. Found this local to me, would this grade of ply be OK for my needs? ie getting wet daily etc, likely to warp? 12mm 8 X 4 STRUCTURAL GRADE C+/C WBP PLYWOOD EXTERIOR PLY 1220 x 2440 CE 1034 | eBay Not really clued up on ply but seems a good price. Also this one is local and in 18mm - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-x-Sheet-of-18mm-Structural-Grade-Plywood-Wisa-Spruce-8ft-X-4-ft-Sheet-/151220183317?pt=UK_BOI_Building_Materials_Supplies_Carpentry_Woodwork_ET&hash=item23356ce115
  17. A fiver a card per year is fine, Assume you can use it anywhere?
  18. I had one before as a sole trader (different industry) but it was limited to Sainburys garages (we lived 30 seconds away from it). It was great as the nectar points racked paid for all the Christmas food each year. The above card was completely free and gave a nice monthly statement which was handy for doing the accounts and record keeping. Im now after another card. 70% of my fuel is bought from Texaco, 10% from Morrisons (red diesel) and 20% from others so looking for a card thats - -Completely free. -Will work at all major garages. -And gives a monthly statement. Google pops up a mind field of comparison sites and other pages. So if you use one, what do you use?
  19. Lol, poor lad. Im guessing he wont allowed to forget this moment
  20. The real question is will it unlock!
  21. Completely agree. Had mine since Decemeber 2012, its been worked hard and abused (if im honest). Apart from the bar and chain its how it left the factory, no issues what so ever, still on original needle bearing. Cant comment on the C-M carb versions though.
  22. Everytime you post pics of your RB I end up on bloody ebay! lol Cracking looking machine.
