Fired an email off to Otley/Easton last week but didnt get back, will try calling them tomorrow. Never been asked about it before but was 2 weeks ago by a contractor, which then got me thinking about my insurance and liabilitys etc thanks for the names

Is it even still called that? Not sure but Im looking to do the "bigger tree assessment" I believe 32 and 33 used to be medium and large trees? But now, probably due to there not being any large trees left to practice on, its just "trees over XXcm" ? Anyway Id like to gain the bigger felling ticket, whatever it is or called now and am based in Suffolk so looking for short course and assessment, locally if possible but travel isn't an issue. Any pointers to get it done would be great.

Just done mine, went for 8.5mm in the end as it was all had to hand. Just ran it through some well seasoned euc rounds and wow what a difference!

To give an idea, I sold mine for £3200 (pretty sure that was the figure). Had two sets of blades, all the manuals and the only defect with the machine was some very light paint work rubs from straps, fairly low hours as well. Excellent machines I just didnt have the space, and funds at the time, to keep both the CS and the tow along. Keep the blades in good nick as performance drops quickly with dull ones and make sure to leave it running for a bit after use to clear it right out. I started off with one and it paid for itself in a matter of weeks, really cant rate them enough and when space is less of an issue for me ill be getting another.

Yeah the BT hubs and routers are utter crap IMO. We are so far behind the rest of thr world in regards to Broadband, my mate in Sweden has a 1GB fibre line and its cheap. Thing with fibre is the lines outside and to the box are fibre BUT the line that goes to your house is still copper I believe? Back to my buddy in Sweden they get a fibre line directly into house just like LAN. Also dealt with EE for the bis mobiles and by far the worst company i have dealt with, had to get the Offcomm people involved in the end. Since these issues I record all phonecalls via an App so that compaines like this cant go back on the lies they tell and then "suddenly lose the recorded conversation"":sneaky2:

Genuinely my earliest memory of was of that storm. I was nearly 3 and my parents where half way through building our extension, we had no windows or doors fitted at the time just plastic sheeting, I remember being shown the roofing slates daggered into our lawn after they had been blown from the roof.

Client asked me to look at his cherry today, he has had issues a few years ago by what sounded like a rouge gardener. this gardener was always doing things that's were not asked for including removing shrubs and fruit trees. In fact, when asked not to come back again he persisted to make threatening phone calls to the client and then came back to the house at some point and felled a silver birch for the sake of it. Police were not interested despite the blatant criminal damage.... This was approx 2-3 years ago. Now onto the cherry pictured below. Whats known - No fruit for approx 3 years No blossom for last 2 years Limited leaf this year. There is one branch, the lowest branch, which has at a guess 30-40 leaves produced this year. All of them are wilted to some degree. All other branches bare. Very little in the way of any new growth showing. Be interesting to hear more reviews once they have had a few hundred hours on them. I agree the lightboard looks vulnerable, not seem one in the flesh though only the onine pictures. Does it have a spare? None of the pictures show one fitted.

So with a pre 97, and a 7500kg truck you can only tow 750kg? Nothing is simple is it! We're looking to get a larger truck next year for which i will need further training ( post 97), just tempted to do the class 1 and be done it.

Sorry forgot to add but my friends merc 4x4 isnt 3.5T... its either 4.5 or 5.5T. guessing your wanting to stay under the 3.5T mark

Makes sense I was working on the basis that adding the extra bits to mine to make it 4x4 would have increased weight by a factor. A chap I work with has the 4x4 Merc and its a great piece of kit but as you say the new models do seem to suffer from rust.

Ford did the "County 4x4" Transit. Not many tippers though. I was after the running gear to change mine to 4x4 for a while but lost interest in the project, payload will suffer due to the weight.
