  1. Should of used a 300TDI ??
  2. It will outsell everything next year by a good margin, been using the ST6 since i gave our demo machine back and a few times its been said "wish we still had that 230 on demo" Get a demo folks, see for yourselves.
  3. Meh, my leaf blowers better than his Cracking setup there, gotta love big gear.
  4. Indeed. Think I shall make a donation to the Arbtalk Children's Charity.
  5. 100% Ben, would pop up this weekend but have my kiddies over. Will be in touch soon
  6. Wow.. wasnt expecting a reply like that I would like to take you up on your kind offer, are you in a rush for the space? Might not be able to get over to you for a couple of weeks, flat out with work. Top man!
  7. Ive caved in... wanted one for many years and after visiting a local pen maker last week I cleared some space in the shed for one. How much would i need to spend to get something reasonable? Space is a little tight also so a compact machine, would like to have a go at making bowls, pens etc. Got so many nice bits of wood laying about im itching to have a go.

  9. Heavier/ larger capacity would cost more to buy, cost more to run, be harder to move by hand, use more fuel to tow, cause more wear and tear on the truck etc etc. Personally, and in an ideal world i would want an 8" capacity, wide hopper sub 1000kg with about 45hp. Big enough to eat nice sized unsellable logs and brash yet light enough to move by hand and maintain cheaply. Dream on!
  10. Isnt the sub 750kg going to be a dying market anyway? Im sure I read about new restrictions regarding the limit for towing and GTW for new drivers being no more than 3500kg. So any new blood to the industry would either need to do a towing entitlement or simply not drive (making them useless to a lot of firms) . Say a 2500kg transit plus 750kg chipper = 250kg payload to keep GTW under 3500kg. Given time sub 750kg wont be marketable feature i believe, might be a few years yet though.
  11. Sorry to thread-jack- Was thinking of going on the Saturday but have my 2 sprogs that weekend,6 and 4, would there be enough to keep them occupied? Or a crèche by the entrance? (joking!)
  12. Thanks again for the contacts, will send out some emails on Monday. Here is the job i need TM for, its an old image and not very clear but gives the basic idea- 4 way roundabout with the trees in question circled in red (roughly). The branches now overhang to almost the kerb line of centre section of the roundabout and we need to bring them into the boundary. Really that 1/4 of the roundabout needs to be closed off for about 2 hours while move the MEWP round to do it As i say, a little out of my comfort zone with basic signage i have to hand. also town center so lots of car and pedestrian traffic
  13. Thanks for the info, will contact both.
  14. After some contacts for TM. Got a ballache of a job overhanging a busy town center roundabout and its out of my depth to sort it myself with what i have to hand. Anyone know of some companies local to Suffolk area that could sort it for me?
  15. Silly one just for the hell of it, rammed as much as we could into the hopper then started it up.
  16. Sod it, seeing as pics, videos and info are all over the web and they are in the dealers now -
  17. Was told by the TW techies it will be £150 more than the current 150DBH but the current 150DBH will be continued at a about £400 quid less than current price. So nothing in it really.
  18. Wait until you get to play with it for a day. We were VERY impressed with it on the trial day last week, hammered a few jobs with it and were really surprised with what it could handle and we had been using a Forst for the last few weeks.
  19. Whats the lead time on these currently Dean? PM if you rather
  20. His back, this time with a mog - mercedes unimog | eBay I put a good bid on this one, he only wants 4K but i would rather pay a lot more
  21. It would cost me to cut their trees for a year. They gain money from having my money in the account without any fees being added on top....
  22. Thanks for the heads up, worth a punt for £20.
  23. Missed your post sorry, Just looked into the above and you have to be an FSB member it seems?
  24. Not sure they would fit in my log burner though...
