  1. Thanks for the advice chaps. Tis an older vehicle at 22 years. Main reason for asking was that im sure I read or was told that with a high miler a thicker oil could/should be used. Currently use 10/40 semi, normally some cheap stuff from the local motor factors.
  2. Seeing as the old girl is knocking on a bit I was wondering about what oil type and grade to go for this time as its due a service. Mineral or semi? Normally use a semi. knocking on for 200k on original engine.
  3. Yes, thats fine.
  4. Might be worth noting that a bench vice at home would be good or at least a field vice you can tap into a log. Saw needs to be held firm whilst sharpening. Edit - David got there first. Worth noting.
  5. Of course. Was more asking about what running gear was needed
  6. That was my first thought but it states they were built for a "rental fleet". My real question is what IS needed to be road tow legal on a home built trailer?
  7. Was just browsing Jon, not what im after really but just wondered on the road tow rules.
  8. I asked the seller - "The splitter was constructed befor 28.10.12 so dose not require a approval certifcate and all the running gear is EC approved. There is no suspension on the splitter but that has not stopped me towing them grate distances in the past. Obviously once you have inspected the splitter and towed it away we cannot be responceble for what you get up to with it."
  9. Honda Powered Log Splitter | eBay ?
  10. Thats an awesome vid, sets a new benchmark for sure. If you like the drones/copters and star wars then check this out -
  11. Trouble with diverting is your not always able to answer it anyway, last thing you want is to be on the phone all day while at work. Divert my landline to a cheap £10 nokia, battery lasts 10 days and my partner has it on her as she works from home, takes it to the shops/school run etc. Result is professional sounding person picking up and no machinery noise in the background. Once she has the details in a note taking app on her smartphone, this data gets synced to my phone, and I can call them back when I get a chance. Found I got about 15% more leads doing it this way as EVERY call needs to be answered first time or they will just pick the next company on the page.
  12. Buy a local number from Skype, divert that.
  13. Walk away... Got a link for it?
  14. If you end up with too many seeds Ian.....Send some this way My small window sill groove of redwoods are coming along well and fancy trying something else
  15. We had a day with one in August time, cracking machine and really well thought out. Very much looking forward to seeing the new version of the 190 next year.
  16. Hmm.. OK, I signed this last night but made a mental note to look up some info about Change.org.. Im thinking it might not be best place to have this petition as also mentioned by another on here. There is an official channel for these things at - HM Government e-petitions Also did a little reading up - Change.org Reviews - Consumer Reviews of Change.org | SiteJabber Since signing up last night I have already had two emails from them regarding other petitions, so had to unsubscribe from those. I also didnt like it asking me for money afterwards to "boost the campaign". Just doesnt seem the correct platform to me. IMO someone should setup a new petition via the link i posted above, yes it will need 100k of votes to get a chance of being discussed in the commons but i feel it would stand more chance of working that way. Once its setup maybe Steve could spam all the Arbtalk members with a PM and a link to the petition? Get other forums to do the same...? We use Aspen in everything from the '88 to the blower, be great to cut the cost even a little. Just my 2cents..
  17. And a blast with the blower to clear anything still there.
  18. When i had mine, would lay it flat on the floor and crawl in!
  19. Good advice. Took this route myself Arblease also?
  20. Cant really help but Im growing on about 20 giant redwoods which are about 2-3cms now and plan to bonsai about 5 of them. Maybe order some seeds and start from scratch?
  21. Did she call it Oscar? "Inside for a disappointingly short time"?
  22. shiply.com
  23. OMG....... Bad day at the office for sure! Best of luck with recovery.
