  1. How easy would it be to do? I have a 3dr hardtop 110 and am toying with the idea of turning into a tipper. Forget the tipper element, just wondered on bulkhead part for the single cab. Any ideas as to how much it would cost me? EDIT - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/land-rover-defender-truck-cab-/191174762890?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c82e7618a Would that be all the bits needed?
  2. True legend. Read a few of his books, some good tales of his younger days! Enjoy your night, will be good.
  3. Yeah as said get a 6 inch machine. Can get a good TW150DBH for that money. Remember its not the size of the wood it will take, its the amount of brash you can ram in! think crappy lumps of ivy, thorn hedges etc etc... Think that shesh is petrol also so may work out more expensive to run.
  4. Not heard of the show but could make an appearance. What time are you guys working until today? If i get time ill give you a call.
  5. Yeah they do seem to have a good following at the moment. Got a couple of days using one next week so will get a good demo.
  6. Some prices would be good please Dean.
  7. Need a stump grinder, worked out if i had bought something like an HB20 a year ago it would have just about paid for itself. Currently i sub in others or simply give the work away... Capital - 2-2.5k either for a S/H machine or deposit on a new/ better S/H machine. Mainly domestic ( 95% ) so narrow access needed. Trying out an HB20 next week so will see how i get on with that. what other machines would be worth looking at? If getting finance i would like to limit it to about 4k, so gives me a max of 6.5k with the deposit. Really not bothered if its S/H or new, can do pretty much any maintenance myself.
  8. Since i posted this Ive also got the bug for trying it myself, My bench grinder has a 6" wheel which from my rough measurements didnt give the correct curve to the edge, I would think 8-9" would do the trick. from the jist of the above replies, most seem to not bother with the curve and sharpen the surface flat? I have a good quality stone so can finish by hand. Still interested in any pics people may have of there jigs usings a simple bench grinder
  9. Done mine with moonfruit.com, took about 3 hours to do and links in with all our social media ( Facebook, twitter, instagram, youtube etc) Fairly easy step by step guides and templates. Bought several domains and pointed them all to it. Really no need to pay anyone to do it for you, same with SEO etc..
  10. Yes more often than i like, send him my number/email address.

  12. Done. Rude not to
  13. Gauging interest at the moment. We have a few odd days most weeks which we need another person for. Would possibly suit someone currently at college locally or someone qualified with tickets already. Looking at getting the same person regularly in the hope to take on work on a more permanent basis. Friendly team. Pay depending on experience/tickets etc. If interested please contact: [email protected] HOME - MD Tree Services
  14. Ill give you £30 for it.... instant tenner profit!
  15. 1994 - 68k from new
  16. That could of been a lot worse, sounds like it went over into the queue for the bouncy castle....
  17. Yep, thats the one!
  18. Amem to to that! But im a mere youngster at 29, this vid was found after a mornings Technic building with the boy and him asking what the "best model" was... I still want the Unimog and the Millennium Falcon kits... for his benefit of course

  20. 2% wishful thinking?
  21. +1 Unless you regularly do track days in your truck!
  22. Charge as much as you think you can get away with without losing the job
  23. Gumtree is your friend on these i found, based on what i sell my waste wood for id price it at 40£ collected then offer to deliver for a small fee, fee being dependant on distance. I find that there are a lot of "the good life" type folk who would rather buy unseasoned, unsplit wood and do it themselves, for the "fun of it", especially those who have just had a stove installed. Often sell my arb waste online for more than the log suppliers sell seasoned split loads delivered! Madness really but i guess people just like the idea of doing it themselves.
  24. Looks the part there aspen, sadly space is a premium for me.
