  1. I was shocked to my very core!
  2. Nice one Sean, your mental strength is inspiring. I think it's les brown who is one of those American speakers who said Something like "doing what is easy will make your life hard and doing what's hard will make your life easy"
  3. Nice, did it get milled in the end?
  4. And the testicals will look after them selves...
  5. Have used mbs access before. Bit more expensive than Orion but did a good service when I used them
  6. I use tachyon and really like it. Have been on blue tounge for a while now and also rate it. BT seems to wear out my cams more on the spider jack. Both good ropes, probably slightly prefer the tachyon. Personal preference is a beautiful thing
  7. Awesome clip that grey git! Nicely done
  8. I know some people to turn a quick buck will ring the timber up and sell it on eBay etc as "split it yourself firewood" you will be saprised how many office worker types like swinging an axe around at the weekend themselves.

  18. I like the look of that digger and grab grey git, how much does something like that lift?
  19. My brother has this conspiracy theory that the government or whoever make this stuff up so people go out buying loads of supplies to boost sales and the economy.
  20. Cheers mate It's a horse chestnut in the front garden, nothing particularly wrong with it accept an old wound and it doesn't have the best unions from when it was either pollard or storm damaged a very long time ago. Oh and it gets covered with HCLM. The customer confidently said she wasn't in a CA and the tree didn't have a TPO. I'm inclined to believe her as the tree is close to the house and they have recently moved in and now days it's something most people check before buying. But as you know you can't just do things on someone's word so I'd just like to check first. I also need some documents for another site that's getting very urgent. I'm sure they are busy and under staffed but weeks are going by! I haven't had a problem like this from any of the other councils
  21. This is driving me mental! i can't get hold of anyone at all even after days and days of phoning leaving messages and email.
  22. Mmmm ... just want to touch it .....
  23. Thanks! I have tried to poke about with a log to try and identify one of the little critters but I can't seem to find one as yet. I wonder if they move out at a point in the year? I have had wood wasp in oak before but as I was splitting it I could pull the grubs out and identify them. I would just set aside any infected logs for myself. These ash bugs seem to spread pretty easily though.
  24. Hello So I don't do a lot of logs. We probably burn 12/14 cube a year then the in laws get a few cube and other veriouse family and friends and customers that ask and I like to keep happy. Only really been doing it the past 3 years or so and have come across a few beasties along the way. Now it's fine if what I burn has holes in it but it bothers me if selling to customers. This year I have had a problem with ash. The logs get peppered with tiny holes all over the bark and make all the logs in the bag covered with dust. The holes are only in the bark and not in the wood and it's only on the ash? For my customers I want to give a quality product. Can I do anything preventative or is it just luck?
  25. Cool!
