  2. Have you ever used mahonia? I saved some small bits from a job, very yellow stuff.
  3. That's a great job, I love it! All the different woods and colours work really well.
  4. Thanks, the twig idea looks great will have to give it a go a some point.
  5. Thanks mick! I was pleased with it. My dad and I have a guy from Kent wood turners club come out and show us how to do stuff. I really enjoy doing it.

  11. Hello, looking for someone who does chainsaw carving. It's for a customer who has some Laylandi stumps at the front of his property. Not sure what he wants carved but would be good to see a profile of your work and a guide price. Job is in Kent between Meopham and Wrotham.
  12. Hi Al What's macrocarpa like for external timber, similar to cedar? Pic would be nice

  15. How big is the box? can't seem to see the info on the website
  16. Cool. I have never worked on one, this was in the grounds of a large garden we were working in. It did have a funky hole low down on the stem, almost like a wood pecker had made it. But if the branches are hollow then it makes a bit of sence.
  17. Thanks! I was going with foxglove but the id picture in my book seems a bit different to the ones in the tree.
  18. His stuff looks great! Will have to save the website.
