  1. Not sure on where they were built off the top of head. All I know is the 180 has a slightly bigger piston. Maybe 1mm similar to the ms181/211 where I think it's 2mm
  2. That doesn't surprise me 😁. The 170 and 180 it's replaced were horrible aswell. What's the solid nose bar like?
  3. It was most likely Electrolux that ruined Mcculluch IMO
  4. It's wasn't any different 171 to 211 versions. Pretty much the same body etc just more power
  5. We had a customer who kept coming back with his for oiling issues. I believe they've updated the pump or the worm(I can't remember which) he got it changed and the saw hasn't been back

    HARNESS

What do you mean by won't conform around the back? Just wondering as mine is super comfy
  7. The other half has a Woolpower jacket and loves it. She has been known to say, it's to warm to wear, even when it's been -5
  8. I made something similar, but out of a pallet and some uprights. Probably lasted a couple of years and just made another one when it was knackered. All free aswell. It helps when you have a big saw, with a long bar! The Portek saw horse has some weight to it unlike some copies.

    Jokes???

I read that perfectly aswell, also dyslexic.
  10. It shows chains on the bottle, but not had to use it for that. Only used it it to clean air filters.
  11. I'm on the canned stuff. I find tastier than the bottled stuff
  12. I use Stihl varioclean and superclean for mine. The varioclean is great for washing the air filter and casing. The Superclean gets used on the silkys, hedgecutters and bars. Aswell as other metal items that get covered in sap.
  13. If you're after chainsaw boots, have look at the Crispi Forst. Very light and durable from what I've be told. I can't comment to much as I don't own a pair
  14. It will break. We try not to sell them tbh. The domestic range of Husqvarna isn't the best

    Topical

Young lad at work tried making a joke about it all yesterday, including other types of cancer and this was in front of the boss( just been through a rare type of breast cancer, and he's the inlaw) The boss didn't say a word, but wasn't best pleased and walked off. As he's that sort of bloke. What makes it worse the lad's partners mother has stage 4 breast cancer. All I can say it struck a nerve with me and he nearly ended up with the breaker bar wrapped round his head. He tried justifying his words with some shitty argument, but it didn't cut it. He's a very clever lad, but numb as
  16. The solid nose is cheaper to make, simple as that. So they don't pass the cost on to the end user. That's what they say anyway
  17. It's a straight replacement for the MS170. My only problem is, it comes with a solid nose bar! Far to many domestic customers can't tension a chain correctly with a roller nose, what chance do they have with solid!
  18. Ribble are great bikes. They're based a couple of miles from me. They used to have the shop in the village, then got to big and needed bigger premises. A mate of mine had one shipped out to Australia as it was cheaper than buying one of the big brands
  19. We can make some up, but don't know what postage would be? Also I hate making 1/4 1.1mm so I'll let pleasant or Rob sort you out 😀
  20. Glad you got it sorted 👍

    Ms 361

Personally I hate decomp valves. We get far to many customers coming with saws, saying they won't start. 90% of them have the valve pushed in, pop it back out and they either start straight away or they've been flooded, and start with minimal effort. With the valve pushed in, it needs to be pulled over quicker to make up for the lack of compression. It might be a reason Husqvarna have taken it off some of the 5 series saws.

    Stihl pole saw

Unfortunately on the HT135 parts aren't as easily replaceable as earlier models. You need to get a drive tube assembly and they start at at £106 +vat. If it's the whole drive shaft you'll be looking at £306 + Vat
  23. I've got this Courant one.36 Ltr, and it fits a 45m rope, 5m landyard, crabs etc and a Protos helmet. I think there £68 + vat
  24. For loler I'll be using Scannable for inspections. It's a great app for individuals, firms and inspectors.
  25. 👍 got your reply, but been flat out today. Still working now! Trying to figure out what Stihl chains I'll need for the next 2 months and what climbing gear will be needed in the next month. Oh the joys!
