  1. Think the term is Trussterf@@k 😄
  2. We just had a sort of attempted 'coup' from 55 Tufton street but looks like it failed. Does the Conservative party now head back nearer the middle of politics shedding a few from the far right?
  3. Thats odd. I got to see the page just now but now cant. I will see if I can find the chart from it
  4. No doubt about the shift. Some nice charts in this to help visualise it Subscribe to read | Financial Times WWW.FT.COM News, analysis and comment from the Financial Times, the worldʼs leading global business publication
  5. Second the comment above. Lube and wait, remove grub screw, remove pin
  6. Gehl 240. Built like a brick out house or so I thought. Often put grease in and it hangs around there anyway. No idea what made it go. Looking closely I can see it had part failed some time ago as some of the break was dirty and rusty then the rest failed. Sending the whole machine off to local workshop in the hope the can sort it. Didn't fancy separating it with my limited tools and skills
  7. The pivot on a pivot steer loader!
  8. Our BC officer was happy with regular plasterboard behind the stove.
  9. Looks like a clear threat
  10. At the gutter end you may find the drips run back under the sheet a bit and dont drip from the end. You could run a line of sealant on the under edge to stop this happening. I should add I have only done very low angle sheets on log sheds so not the same quality as required for a garden room
  11. 2 degrees would probably be fine if you can do the run with one sheet. Its joins where leaks become a problem with water running up under it IME
  12. I tried billets one year. Got a big vertical splitter so used that. As said unless the wood is perfect they dont split evenly so when you come to cut your billets to length one end is kindling and the other needs splitting more. They dried well but far too labour intensive as it took as long running the billets through the processor cutting to length as it would have to process roundwood in the first place
  13. Are brits very different from other Europeans? Plenty of European counties appear to have moderate governments who dont appear to lurch from crisis to crisis but maybe we are different?
  14. Haha. Well yes but I still do some contract processing as well which is partly why I never get around to cutting my own. Mind you as things are I will be out of log game next year as I cant get my hands on timber. Normally cutting for next year now
  15. I cant work it out either. The price cap is clear enough as in its an average cost but Trusses comments are very odd She would have had an army of advisors with her so if she accidentally said something wrong she would be corrected for the next interview but as you say repeated these lies but to what end I cant work out. She's either 1. Deliberately lied (repeatedly) 2. Is a stupid as sh!t with bad advisors 3. Other?
  16. Yes fair point. Exeter Charcoal have a bit on their site Dartmoor Dragon | @tycreated Webflow Template WWW.EXETERCHARCOAL.CO.UK The Dartmoor Dragon is a compact retort that can produce between 18 and 25kg of high quality charcoal per cycle depending of the feedstock used. I have made quite a few videos. The one's on Youtube date back to when it was going to be an open source design but got some up to date ones using the production one on Facebook. We do need to make a decent promo video! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwphrNR7JHFdUy_21MphAYA Dartmoor Dragon Charcoal Retort | Facebook WWW.FACEBOOK.COM A group to discuss the development of the Dartmoor Dragon Charcoal Retort.
  17. Thanks Rob. Not going to make a fortune but then that wasn't the aim anyway. Might cover the leccy bill though 😆
  18. Yes you can buy straight from them. Think they have two in stock. £3900+Vat
  19. If it was the Russians it demonstrates to the world how easy it is to damage a gas pipeline and it might be one we rely on next time? Dont think we are using gas from either of them at present so it might just be a warning shot but a convoluted one none the less
  20. You have some beautiful pieces of wood there. Never found a way to use the really short stuff but I designed a guitar stand to use relatively small/thin pieces of exotics. Made a few of these over the years but was slack on the marketing side so never really dented the offcuts pile haha This one was rosewood and maple
  21. What a great show and such camaraderie with other exhibitors. Wish we had camped on site as well to soak up more of the fun Thanks to all who came up and had a chat and look at the retort. We were very busy for all 3 days so couldn't have asked for more. Got to chat will lots of Arbtalker's and it was nice to put some faces to names
  22. Dads got the same stove on a long uninsulated flue. Its a pain to start but great once up and running. Imagine you would have similar results with a large steel flue that cools quickly
  23. Got in with a local harvester who now supplies most of our timber, hard and soft. Mate of mine just uses Euroforest
