  1. Yep did much the same to ours. Just removed the grate and leave a bed of ash in the ash pan so not to burn it out and making lighting easier
  2. As Andy says leave a bed of ash when running on wood.
  3. I sold my Makita battery saw and an MS 181 and bought a MSA220 electric. Love it and dont miss either of the old saws. Been hedge laying with it today and its just perfect for smallish work up to say 10". Great for snedding bigger timber as well. The next sized saw I reach for is an XP560
  4. Many of the ones in the SW are still low just not our local one. Once the moors are waterlogged it fills up pretty darn quickly with the run off
  5. No remarkably wet days but plenty of the stuff none the less. Sept 209mm Oct 162mm Nov 123mm. Local reservoir is now full and fields are waterlogged
  6. I will take it off and give it a good clean. Thanks
  7. In which case they can crack on 👍
  8. Yes if you supply in loads of 2 cube or more. Think there is also form you are supposed to supply to tell the client how to dry the logs
  9. I have a Honda GX390 on my processor thats started messing me about when starting. It starts Ok and runs for a short while and then stops as if though it's run out of fuel. Go through choke start turn off choke stall a few times and then it runs like clockwork. Once warm I can stop for lunch and come back and its perfect but does it most when not run for day or so. Cleaned fuel and air filter and plenty of fuel appears to getting to the carb. Any thoughts?
  10. It's better on the other side but agreed it's not exactly slick. As long as it stays together I will be happy though
  11. All fixed and back at work. They re-made quite a bit as it past a simple welding job. Also squeezed in some reinforcements underneath as space is tight when you turn. Not cheap but nothing ever is and doubt it was an easy job getting it all apart
  12. Seen this chart doing the rounds but dont know if its correct but if it is we clearly are not an attractive destination for migrants
  13. Might be of interest but yours does sound (pardon the pun) more localised The Hum - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  14. We have GSHP and the circulation pump runs continuously below a set outside temp all part of the weather compensation system. Even some gas boilers have weather compensation. Its a stretch as I cant see why it would pause at any time
  15. First thought was a circulation pump as the sound can carry through the pipes but guess that cant be the case if you have tried with the electric off. No chance the central heating is on a separate circuit?
  16. They will dry quick enough presuming lowish house humidity but think of all the water you add to the atmosphere of your house. 1m3 of logs will weigh around 450kg-500kg when wet and nearer 350kg when dry. That would be up to 150litres of water in your house per cube you dry inside
  17. If that is the case it's not surprising that our leaders do as well as they do and why should we expect high standards from them if we think lying is fine? Admittedly I dont have to work with the public like you do but lies are not part of my everyday work or home life
  18. Just waiting for "who needs soap" ‘World’s dirtiest man’ dies in Iran at 94 a few months after first wash | Iran | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM ‘Amou Haji’, who did not bathe for half a century, reportedly ate roadkill and smoked pipe filled with animal excrement
  19. I dont know but saw it here first where he explains it in more detail that loses me
  20. Wooden batteries are hitting the market WWW.EURONEWS.COM The future of the world’s batteries could be hiding among our trees.
  21. Yep and at least we know the military are prepared to lay down their lives for the country while BJ cant even be arsed to come off holiday when parliament is sitting and country is in the sh!t
