Banged my knee the other day was felling a load of sycamore - old hedge left for 30yrs - bout 20 12"-14" poles and I managed to get 3 barbers chairs out of them.On the last one I made a hasty retreat but fell and hit my knee on a log. It wasnt the sort of job where we could clear as we felled as the client wanted them done in a day. Dam sycamore

As for phlem - slugs eat it - I coughed up some green beuties once - on the garden path - next day they were gone - slug trails around them - you dont see that on wildlife programs - wonder why

  18. I think ive got it - not much pain but had it several months - also noticed the bones at the side of my elbow protrude on both arms - i suspect its callus build up from the strain - Ive been climbing 2 decades

  21. roping the top off a lombardy pop - cant relax till its being lowered down - its healthy to get a bit wobberly -better than being blazay
  22. I think 2 is not enough - what if you are two thirds into your cut and your chain snaps or something? 2 climbing saws - 2 ground saws and 1 biggy
  23. i believe late summer is best for them but as said Shigo and others were not really concerned with bleeding - bleeding can result in yeasts forming on the open wound,thats not good for invading fungi
