  6. Im a climber but because of my experience ive been asked to help on the ground sometimes - big jobs usually making sure things go smoothly - keeping my eye on less experienced climbers - and im the one felling the big stump with the backwards lean

  14. I had a job 10yrs or more ago reinstating original soil levels on some early mature Oak trees. the trees had 12" + extra top soil over the roots and had been like this for several months. the trees still appear to be ok at present - fingers crossed

  20. Yes totally agree - I think anyone putting tree surgery vids out should put a small narrative at the start warning of the danger etc to allow for novices/ give it a go types
  21. not many options really - stick a yew hedge in, slow growing but she will have to deal with it
  22. a face cut on the underside then a top cut which will free it from the rootplate, then winch it out
