  1. Good lad Dean - I had the opposite to you - "How much do I owe you" she said "150 as I quoted please" so she gave me £1.50 lol
  2. - do not prune just as the leaves are opening and just as they are falling generally ok to prune any other time (except on certain species to follow) I would also avoid pruning in spells of extreme hot and cold weather to avoid sun scorch and frost cracks the best time for pruning prunus trees is mid summer as said - walnuts late summer (bleeding) (other heavy bleeders already covered) oh evergreens are best pruned after the chance of frost to avoid tender new shoots being damaged I think that's covered it
  3. im voting ukip - im sick of the main parties - its an immigration thing - I want the other parties shaken up somewhat
  4. fungi photo -there are about 20 species covered in the book
  5. FIRST IMPRESSION ok some pics to give you an idea of what you are in for. Its a bigger book than the original BLOT and has 548 pages. The layout is very similar to Shigos modern arboriculture but you have colour photos too, and you have section on the commonest decay fungi with some great colour photos. That's all I can say at the mo as ive hardly read any yet.

  7. Use the BS as a guide. Use your experience and knowledge to reach the final conclusion. Dont make hasty decisions, give yourself time to absorb the situation, sleep on it.

  9. I sold my old copy this time last year - ive just ordered the new copy lol - im more involved in the surveying side of Arboriculture again so it makes sense

  12. yeh you need some practice - sensible to practice on easy ones - when you can perfect small ones then move on to larger diameter
