I survey these every day for Scottish Power - not insulated - 100% job to be done by the electric company for free and they will do the job with the power OFF (shutdown)

Time of year for tree pruning

- do not prune just as the leaves are opening and just as they are falling generally ok to prune any other time (except on certain species to follow) I would also avoid pruning in spells of extreme hot and cold weather to avoid sun scorch and frost cracks the best time for pruning prunus trees is mid summer as said - walnuts late summer (bleeding) (other heavy bleeders already covered) oh evergreens are best pruned after the chance of frost to avoid tender new shoots being damaged I think that's covered it -

fungi photo -there are about 20 species covered in the book

FIRST IMPRESSION ok some pics to give you an idea of what you are in for. Its a bigger book than the original BLOT and has 548 pages. The layout is very similar to Shigos modern arboriculture but you have colour photos too, and you have section on the commonest decay fungi with some great colour photos. That's all I can say at the mo as ive hardly read any yet.
