  1. And the last bit is what everyone misses. The oil sumps are also vulnerable to water, get too much water in the oil and its just waiting to stop. No deeper than the tracks unless its been kitted out to do so.
  2. The green boxes normally mean its an electronic door locking, but looking at that there is no electronic lock. Only the manual bar. It's still wrong whatever way it's put. The law suit would be huge if anything ever did happen.
  3. Yeah I have the die cast tracked one in the shelf.
  4. Firstly I would have lied,.. Never admit to it being your company. Then you could have just said, "what that old truck" " yeah been meaning to upgrade but the boss is a tight ass" Would have also said that you would charge 3phr but the job looks like it would take 4 days to complete. (Depending on what the job was of course. Longer for a bigger job)
  5. Firstly, that is an awesome avatar pic. Love it. Second. Agreed, what's the point in all the Aggro of doing all the convention when you could easily sell the pto chipper and buy one that is already built for purpose???? A lot of time spent in a workshop and effort of your own time, for a machine that will most probably fail, not that I'm judging the op"s engineering skills but if you put a shaft in somewhere and it's not balanced or run a belt system and the pulleys are not perfect or up to the job the could self destruct putting you and or your workers or other people at danger. Not worth the risk IMO.
  6. Theoretically yes. In practice it will be harder. Depends on getting a link from the engine to chipper. That's the stoping point. Plus stress control. And you don't want the engine constantly running the wheel. Need a control point for the engine to wheel point. IMO.
  7. Jesus..... I wounder if the fire officer would also like to see that.
  8. Yep about right. No point moaning about it, already wet so just crack on. And if you have the opportunity it might clear off and you can get a small fire going to dry something out on. Other than that just get on with it. It will only take longer sitting in the van and you will just get cold aswell as wet.
  9. Got a mower in. Has been a nightmare getting the numbers for it. Hopefully have managed. Need a drive cable for a mount field. Numbers are. Serial. 11034011 Type. Tu554 tr Art. 292552138/bq Hopefully that helps Barrie. If not I'm stuffed and its going in the skip.
  10. Must be nearly time for another clear up mate. Get the top section graded out for more reversing area. Did have some more pics if I can find them. Plus I just want to get in that digger again
  11. I've seen that lake. It's the one the cross channel swimmers must swim twice before hitting the channel. Yes it's as daunting as it looks. Good luck to her fella. And all the best. Please insure whoever is on the safety boat is first aid trained for the task. : thumbup:
  12. Sorry but any higher than 35k and its just getting stupid. And I couldn't see how any company could afford that. Plus the maintenance cost on top. How long before the company goes bust then?
  13. Hmmm, ok. So I'm guessing everyone it too high. So I'm saying 300 quid. A hire company that doesn't know anything about saws but hires out 200t's.....
  14. Sorry a bit confused? Your company hire in there saws? Why and what's the point. You do all maintenance on them! Thought this would have to be done by the hire company for there records. And you buy your own bars and chains! Again by the hire company.... Or am I missing something here? 10k by the way.
  15. Jon stop posting or we will run out of rumours. I hear Jon is completely t total and he doesn't touch a drop
  16. I could try stupid quotes! Yesterday the 11 yr old walked in with middy shoes, I pointed out he needed to mop the floor, his response was he wasn't going to clean up the dog prints as he didn't let the dog out, so spent 10 mins explaining that the shoe shaped prints could not be the dogs, still argues with me about it! Second was the 14 yr old, just had home made pasties with minced lamb, after eating was asked if it had mint in it! Before I could answer then came out with "oh yeah of course it did its mints lamb"......... It's not them I worry about when they go out into the world it's everyone else I feel for. These are true by the way and they actually meant it. I'm at a complete loss, the only hope I have is my son and he has got a brain. Thank god.
  17. That is just stupidly big... Designed for use in commercial trawlers...

    Guess Who

    You would be surprised eddy.
  19. Thought timberwolf made choppers? Am I missing something? Steal clear, cheap Chinese junk that is only good for a few uses then it will fall to bits and you won't get parts, and it won't be worth repairing. Pay decent get decent...
  20. Need to get it tested, comp test, carb clean test and check, check the clutch over. Do some fault finding, check the carb is all good and work from that. The cutting out with brake does imply clutch issue, apply clutch and rev saw, does it die or bog or does the chain run on?
  21. Dying when brake applied is normally worn clutch next time restart saw with brake off and see if it starts, is the saw flooding out?
  22. Jon. At a stab on the dark I would go with air leesk, would need a leak down test to check it.
