  2. tracks will jump off if its turned without moving back or forth. turn and hit a stump and it will pop. are they tensioned up right? are the bearings on the runners ok? are the teeth on the driving gears good?
  3. mine has been like this since i used it on a saw and didnt have my foot on the saw properly, the saw jumped and the guage smacked down. hasnt effected it at all.

    Ms261 problem

check compression, if it overheated could have caused a heat sieze.
  5. get them running back, should wake them up a bit.
  6. ok back to saws. has anyone got a husky 61 carb meter valve arm. got one that has broken, looks like it jumped from the diaphragm and snapped the end. or where to get one please.
  7. i have had one for a while now. cant say i have found suppliers, arbtalk done that for me. i did win a free silky tho. i normally put interesting machines on it, or anytime i remember to take the camera in with me. im not overly sure what the promote page is all about. im not even sure how people search on there for things. as they just search a name rather than what they want. so if they wanted to repair there mower they would have to search for a company name rather than just fix my mower... if that makes sense. i do however use the local selling pages to advertise a small amount as its free to do so.
  8. sorry eddy, the rest are in my private collection. and yes i am in the suit. for those now scratching there heads its this pic.
  9. lol. just wait until you log onto the twitter then barrie........... yeah i dont actually see what comes up on other peoples from mine so if there are stuff you dont want then just unfollow that. plus a lot of the jokes are too rude for arbtalk.
  10. you cant. hahahahhaha. will try and keep it to a minimum just for you barrie, but no promises.. and eddy. shhhhhhh:lol:
  11. now you can see all the rubbish i post on there now.:lol: got to say im always suprised when i have an iage of what people look like then they actually look nothing like it. i did share the pic of the afgan missle launcher tho. a bit risky for arbtalk tho.:laugh1:
  12. sorted out the 08s today. took the cover and drum off, springs had badly gone. so used some from a ts400, same springs. now it actually works like a dream, and with a .404 chain on it im sure it will cut like a beast aswell. damn im glad stihl changed there design.
  13. A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest. After a moment or two, the vet shook his head and sadly said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has passed away." The distressed woman wailed, "Are you sure?" "Yes, I am sure. Your duck is dead," replied the vet.. "How can you be so sure?" she protested. "I mean you haven't done any testing on him or anything. He might just be in a coma or something." The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left the room. He returned a few minutes later with a black Labrador Retriever. As the duck's owner looked on in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put his front paws on the examination table and sniffed the duck from top to bottom. He then looked up at the vet with sad eyes and shook his head. The vet patted the dog on the head and took it out of the room. A few minutes later he returned with a cat. The cat jumped on the table and also delicately sniffed the bird from head to foot. The cat sat back on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly and strolled out of the room. The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry, but as I said, this is most definitely, 100% certifiably, a dead duck." The vet turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys and produced a bill, which he handed to the woman.. The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill. "$150!" she cried, "$150 just to tell me my duck is dead!" The vet shrugged, "I'm sorry. If you had just taken my word for it, the bill would have been $20, but with the Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it's now $150."
  14. oh no. i have just liked it and now im getting aspenized..... looking forward to some status thingys barrie.

  19. the pump is. but the channel that joins the pump to the fuel side of the carb is under this plate. so its easier to block this part than try and remove the pump and block that side.
  20. sorry spud. was in a right foul mood last night. bit of a customer issue. nothing bad just someone pushing me for a job doing and as it was a favour job i made it clear it was as and when i could. but not good enough it seems.:sneaky2: and yes eddy the oval alluminium one that is both pressed and glued in place. pry it out with a knife or pin or such tool. mix up some resin or chem metal, want it nice and thick, then fill the holes. a paperclip is a good tool to push some in with. then sand and try it. if this doesnt work then its another carb issue, doing this wont hurt the carb by the way, just turns it into the older 020 carb, as such.
  21. easy, turn it over and there should be a plate, pop this out and aradite or chemical metal it up. allow to dry overnight sand down smooth. job done.
  22. why not just do it on the bar? fiddly things to use and takes longer than on the bar aswell. plus a normal vice can hold the whole saw in it while you take the air filter and plug out to check it all over.
  23. not really spud. all this porting is very yawn to be honest. ive gone right off it all. just fixing them is enough for me. im sure the saws will run just fine as they did before getting ported. not looking forward to there return either as i know i will never hear the end of them either. sorry dave and steve. just the mood today i guess.
  24. thats brilliant. why i didnt think of that i dont know. just need a small trailer to take away the rakings. job done in minutes.
