  2. its the factory fitted visual oil level aid, its NOT a leak.... the oil around the sump and from the rocker is the self lubricating part, and when they stop dripping it means they need a top up...
  3. just remember who has that hilux at the moment dave....:laugh1: dont worry I will bring it back in one piece....sort of:laugh1: but thanks for the lend by the way. really didnt like the idea of borowing dons range rover sport....
  4. whats on my bench? my land rover....... lost my clutch yesterday one the way back from the hospital from becoming a grandad for the third time. took the slave piston out tonight and the release arm is stuck, means the fork has worn and the wont work. so its over the pit in the new ish workshop ready for the morning. should be fun.....not. really ant wait for this week to just end aready...
  5. only for meteor bud. and as finding a ring is proving hard then why not just get a decent piston to slap in there while the saw is apart. plus the rings are better on them than the cheap copy stuff. and plus for 20 odd quid its worth it imo.
  6. yeah but i could only find the kit in meteor. i guess a ring would be cheaper but why not fit a nicy shiny new piston aswell.
  7. naff all wrong with this one. HUSQVARNA 346XP NEW EDITION PISTON ASSY 44.3MM MADE IN ITALY BY METEOR PC1824AB | eBay
  8. ok. will be getting those revs down then. see what happens after that.
  9. generator issue. today i got given a generator. small two stroke. the engine is running a bit fast. this im not worried about. when its in use it will run for about 30secs, then the trip will kick in and it wont give any output. does it everytime. would this do this with the engine running fast. and i mean it screams, fast running causing the charge to oevrload?
  10. sorry didnt mean to. just a thing with jon and his smilies is all. i get on with jon and he knows when im joking with him. i hope. anyway im out so ask someone else about my posts if you need to. im off to annoy someone else. maybe a teacher...
  11. yes. but be very carefull, dont wedge it too much, but it will need a good push, hit the end of the flywheel with the mallet hard, it will jump off with the screwdriver puishing from behind.
  12. not sure, and apparantly not knowing and asking to find out is annoying....
  13. ok. just pure curiosity on my part i guess. and on what others have to say. if i dont know i ask, if i still dont know i ask again until i do know, and yes i see this does come accross annoying, rude and even obusive to some extend, i need to know things or they will bug me for ages after and i cant let go. sorry but just the way my head works..
  14. just interested as to what changes you said would happen. read about it a few pages back but didnt see an answer as to what the change was. or i missed it.
  15. hhhmmmm. the zero tollerence on bullying yes. but then when does one see that a reply that is contravening becomes bullying? its a very fine line between replying in a way that is saying, your wrong and this is how it should be done, to being a bully as such. having trouble trying to get accross my point in this post as its not an engine and i cant type very well. zero tolerence against obvious bullying, but seeing something as bullying isw hard. and the use of smilies is tosh im affraid as a lot of people dont use them. unless your jon, then its most of the post
  16. gale force winds in the channel. rain, and oribble.... should be busy a bit later with the lifeboat i rekon.

  18. A wife goes out for a night on the town with the girls, telling her husband she’ll be home around midnight. Midnight passes by, drinks are flowing, the girls are laughing and having a great time. At around 2:45 in the morning, drunk as hell, she finally gets a cab and makes her way back home. She gets to the front door and ever-so-gently nudges it open, not making a sound. She takes her shoes off, again not making a sound. Knowing her husband will give her hell for coming home so late and drunk, she’s quite proud of herself for being so stealthy. Just then, the cuckoo clock in the hallway goes off, cuckooing 3 times signalling the late hour. Realizing he might wake up, she decides to cuckoo another 9 times. She smiles to herself, proud that she’d come up with such a clever solution on the spot. He’d never know the difference! That next morning during breakfast the husband looked at his wife, who was obviously hungover, and asked, “So… what time did you get in last night?” “Oh, right around midnight, just like I said,” she replied. The husband didn’t seem disturbed at all. Her plan had worked! “Well,” he said, “I think we need a new cuckoo clock.” “Why do you say that?” she asked. “Because last night the one we have cuckooed 3 times, then said ‘oh ****,’ cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, then tripped over the coffee table and farted.”
