  1. Strangely but very conveniently my pager goes off every year, right around when they come home with a letter telling us what play they are doing that year. I can't work it out. Just always happen and it's always a long job that takes up most of the evening..........
  2. Are the holes actually lined up ok once fitted? It's simple but easy to overlook.
  3. Yeah that's it. Direct into bore. Proper old school. Why I didn't bring up electrickery. Lucky the lights work let alone anything else  Did have a moment where applying the brakes activated the wipers, Not sure on that bypass bit. Will have a good look. Not even sure there is one. The inter cooler is in good nick. And air can flow freely through it. Checked that already. Will look into the vacuum hoses Tomorrow. Really steering away from fuel as I have checked that and it's all good, the last service was well under a year ago. Begining of this year I think. Without looking I'm not sure. And I cleared all the fuel lines today. Will go through a few of the ideas people have said but the more the merrier. Good old arb talk. Oh and yes looking into the forums but a lot have just said head gasket, but I know it's not that. That's too simple for this problem.
  4. If only. Older than that. No glow plugs. Don't ask why, I don't know. It baffled me when I first looked at it. But hey oh. French for ya I guess. They are really ugly and not seen many in the uk. But plenty on France.
  5. Ok. Can we get back to old school please. There is no computer trickery on this van. Edit. No from the crank case. It will fire up perfectly every day. And remember there is no glow plugs on it either. So with low comp it wouldbe a pig to start without heatand low comp. And the head gasket is not blown this I can be 100% positive over. The inter cooler is also fine. The hoses are good and it works like it should. Have checked this aswell.
  6. This van tipper is old school as tree quip said. Now laptop confections, the only electrics are standard stuff. It does it in or out of gear, moving or not.
  7. No leaks on either exhaust or intake, but there is white smoke. Always has been really until it warms up. But a bit more now. Same as the Renault master or messenger. But it's not the rev limiter, it will rev up to that and hold there but drop right back down. Has only started doing it. And if going up hill with a load like the cm220 it struggles. Revs just drop out. Annoying when pulling up a hill start as it just hasn't got the grunt. And runs very rough. 6.5t van by the way.
  8. Good point, will check them out. There isn't that many one there and they are easy to get to. One from the intake manifold and the is really easy to get out. There is another. They don't look worn on the outside, but will get a look. It's funny as a few months ago a pipe from the inter cooler came loose and it really run with no power at all. Will check these out. Thanks.
  9. Ok. Here goes. Got a Renault b120 with a funny issue. When on tick over it runs perfect, put your foot to the floor and it will hold on the redline for 5-10 seconds, then the revs drop to around 3000 and it will run really lumpy like it's missing. It will then not rev up to red or even off the green turbo band, but back to idle for a few secs and foot down again it will rev up to redline the drop after the time. So first thought, fuel issue, as it sounded like it was missing, removed and checked injectors and I can say I'm 95% happy they are fine. So what's next, fuel I'm steering away from, as it isn't lumpy on tick over and the throttle is very responsive. Can blip it all day long and nothing, it purrs like a kitten. Just trying to get to the top of the revs, it's just drops down. Fuel is getting to the injectors, cleaned it right out. Tank pickup right up to injectors. When the van was brought a few years ago it used to fly, and could really feel the turbo. Over time the power has dropped, it is no where near what it used to be. Air filter is fine. Throttle is fine. But surely if it was fuel pump or injectors it would run rough throughout the range rather than the top end and funny drop. But it's absolutely fine below the turbo band. So is the turbo at fault. Head gasket is fine. No drop in oil or water and no mixing of the two either way. Could it be the pickup for the oil pump. Throwing enough oil up to turbo at first and then dropping out. The exhaust is acting like a miss and puffing. Will answer any more questions best I can.
  10. Sorry but I had to ask Sounds like this person had annoyed a few people then. Oh well, down to experience and try to move on then.
  11. Not on a saw. The seal is a different size from the bearing. Well on a 200t anyway. The bearing is bigger and the seal is smaller and sits on the outside of the casing. Try simplybearings
  12. It's really sad when a firm turns like this. A simple bit of contact goes a long way. I'm in the process of this at the moment. GTR has had to close for reasons I'm not going to disclose on an open forum (hence the name change) I am still able to repair saws but only as myself under self employed work. As a firm I'm not doing it. All the big firms I had are aware and I have let them know the companies that I trust for repairs if they are no longer able to use me. GTR has gone but I am still trading as a subby. Just no company.
  13. Very funny.... And it was nothing saw related. What he said. There are loads on here. Can't go wrong with any of them.
  14. Nothing wrong with admiring a good looking bird on site. Nothing sexual in it, just nice to see a nice bod. No slang by the way, as normally I just see them and keep them to myself. Plus the climbers wife is normally on site so I can't go shouting things out like that. Just get a bit distracted and tend not to be concentrating as much on the "job in hand"...... Will get me coat,
  15. The first one is bog standard, money paid and accepted, order email confirms this. They have not delivered the goods so there is a case there. PayPal are really good at this stuff and they will sort it for you quick. Hopefully, if they don't get hold of seller they will refund from themselves and then take legal action to recover there losses. I had this when I sold something on eBay and the buyer opened a case, I had lost internet for about two weeks so didn't get any emails. They called me in the end and I paid them over the phone but it did cost me extra. The item was sent and the delivery company messed up and it arrived broken by the way.
  16. Excavator tracks done. Always go home after that sort of work broken and bruised.... Ms260 has scoring on exhaust side of piston so new piston being ordered. And then it was an early finish and down the lifeboat for a tea break.
  17. I am purely shocked... Speechless. There I was thinking you would say something like this one was y our fav...... [ame]http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nmiBwxgcGyM[/ame]
  18. The bird ain't too bad either.
  19. Yeah but I still hate the holder. It's horrible. And those clips don't hold after a while. I have a set for each size of chain by the way. Have to as I could get many different size chain come in.
  20. I've got those kits. Only thing is the file guide holder. Get a stihl one as it has screws to hold the file and can take any size file. Thos Oregon ones don't hold a bigger file and fall apart.

What he said. Sounds like a timing issue, is the gap correct?
  22. It can be from the chain on the bar or the nose sprockets, You will be suprised at how many sparks will come off. Use a saw at night. Check the obvious, bar sprockets and drive sprocket. Then check the bar for wear.
  23. Corsa done. Leaking at clutch servo seal. Ms200t, leaking crank seals. Ms200t, eaten the spark plug. Ms200t, front lower av mount. Ms260, light seize, new piston on the way. Mount field Briggs and Stratton mower, hard to pull over if not at all, blade on wrong and catching the deck. And made a start on the excavator, tracks off on one side.
  24. Is it me or does the pattern on the back look like a skull??? Oh and garden spider by the way.
