  1. must be a mind reader. Was thinking this aswell.
  2. They need to be locktite in. Failing that some araldite works well.
  3. To be honest, spares or repair fetch close to the same price as good running machines. Especially if you are thinking of ebay.
  4.:lol: Got to stand by my own morals now havnt I Seriously tho. Drive it like you stole it. Use it like you should use a saw and it will be fine. (Famous last words)
  5. Drive it like you stole it. But get the mix right. Edit. Sorry I should be saying take it back and get a proper STIHL saw.
  6. That's a good question. I'm in need of a b and s coil for an old 7hp engine.
  7. So just seen the news on these things. http://www.techradar.com/news/video/google-glass-what-you-need-to-know-1078114 So what is everyone's thoughts? Creepy or extremely usefull. Could it replace the go pro in a tree. Make life easier when working? Viewing emails and the like while still working. Could it be an open invite for peadofiles? (This was my thought when I saw you could take pictures.) Or could it easily be a recipe for disaster? I reckon they are a good gadget. Arbtalk could be in my view 24 7  Might look at getting some. Upload live feeds to YouTube while working.
  8. Hmmm. Money is ok. But would mean I would have to join a gym. Thinking about it, keys would be good for storage. Dry and safe. Have to have money to put money in it....(if the other half didn't nick it all )
  9. Hmm. I can see he market for it. Mendiplogs would love this. Ice in one compartment, lime in another and cizzer in the main one. Not sure it's my kind of thing. Looks good but what else could you store in it other than supplements???
  10. Get some pics up then.
  11. I'm with tree quip on this one. Guaranteed the chassis will ned work if it hasn't been replaced for that age. The footwell, wheel arches, sills, and floor pan. Also look at the fuel tank these can go porous an leak. The body mounts can also go. The engine starting on ether is vey bad idea. Easy start is the devils juice in my book. Can do a lot more harm than good. I wold first look into a fuel supply issue. As in not not getting any at all. So a blockage elsewhere. Cold also be low comp. and the ether is giving it enough to burn as its highly flammable and diesel oil isn't. A tester would eliminate this straight away. Diesels only need two thing to run. Diesel and compression so if it won't start its one of those things. If you can get it really cheap if its goosed then I would replace the engine if the body of it is in good nick. Engines are cheap enough. (Well cheaper than a new landy anyway)
  12. Chain break handle for an ms200t turned up today so fitting that tonight. Hd it working today and it was slow on cold start. Had to fittle the throttle to get it to rev up. Once running ran all day with no porblems. So not happy until I get it sorted. It's running fine and will tick over all day, cuts lovely and high revs are perfect. Just got to get past the warm up stage. No accelerator pup in the carb. So another good clean out of carb and a tune up on the low side should sort it. Passed a vac and pressure test no problem.

    bindweed.

Nuclear warheads seem to do a good job.....
  14. Some one already beat you to the thread bud. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/firewood-forum/58014-free-firewood-unseasoned.html
  15. It can be hard. Sound like you checked the important part. The crank. My bet would have been on clutch, either loose worn spring. But you have had it apart. Also anything on the flywheel would have been found. Check the cylinder bolts are tight aswell. Then check the pull start assembly are also ok. Check the clutch brake drum and band are also ok. And the needle bearing. Other than that the exhaust is also tight.
  16. 026 to the 261 (edit also to the 262) 036 to the 362. Not in the last five but the 088 to the 880 magnum.........
  17. Because the 201 meets the new emissions rules for the year it was first manufactured as does the 200. But when the 200 came out the rules where not as tight as they are now. Make sense yet? So the new husky topper will have to follow the regs for the year of production. So it won't be very powerfull as it will be very limited to meet the regs. The old 200 is a fine saw and yes for a 32cc saw it cuts very well. Even better when its modded to the eye balls. The 201 is still fresh out the box and I have yet to see a modded one in the uk, as we Brits are very hung up on warranty, the Americans on the other hand modded them before the even got the bar on out the box. And I have seen some very good vids and reviews of modded 201 saws from there. Some I would even think have been better than the 200, plus there emission laws are slightly more slack than the EU ones. I'm not thinking much on the new husky as it will be shamefully decreased in power due to regs on its production. But of course they actually have to release a date as of yet.
  18. Not too bad. Doesn't say a thing about have to take the brash. Just drop the lot and take the timber..... Easy.
  19. The two saws mentioned not sure about. Any stats on them. Cc etc. Who said the 201 wasn't to replace the 200. If it wasn't they would have called it the 150 :001_rolleyes: But it still remains as a PRUNING saw. Not a wacking great cutting saw.
  20. So you don't knew what this modified filter was all about then. I'm just intrigued by it now.
  21. Man I never would have thought that auto tune could complicate such a simple system. But then it is husky were talking about here. I'm so glad stihl dropped the auto tune before they carried on making saws.
  22. Seems the tide has turned.....:lol: Will get me coat....
  23. Would have cut the trunk into just managable chunks and thrown them in the car. Stop when the front wheels lift up. Would have made it interesting. Maybe she wasn't that cheeky but without hearing if she was saying it in a funny way can't say much.
  24. That's what I love about this forum.... Learn something new every day.
  25. I go to a cheap shoe shop and just buy a pair of crappy steel toe caps. Last about 7 months to a year. For 20 quid. I wear them in the workshop aswell. Don't really want oil, grease, fuel and what not all over my nice arb boots.
